  1. Al, you look great! Have you lost weight?
  2. I don't believe the Cubs are bumping Zambrano from the opening day start. The way I understood it is they were bumping his spring training start so he wouldn't face the Brewers before opening day. Edit: Doesn't really matter who's pitching though. No reason to have to worst offensive non-catcher on the team starting.
  3. No reason at all it shouldn't be Gross/Dillon platooning in right.
  4. This fell off page 1 pretty quick. Just wanted to say thanks for sharing all that.
  5. No baiting. Ok, I'm kidding. But yeah.
  6. You answered your own question. If Sheets got the run support in 2004 that Vargas got last year he'd have a Cy Young.
  7. Almost anything, as long as you're talking about what accurately indicates performance.
  8. Props for not asking for an autograph in that situation.
  9. Ajay, it isn't like they won't try. It takes two sides to sign a contract.
  10. http://icanhascheezburger.files.wordpress.com/2008/01/funny-pictures-mtv-cribs-squirrel-tree.jpg
  11. I'm a big fan of this thread.
  12. Don't know how I forgot about Mallrats. Absolutely an all-time favorite. I have not seen Dogma for whatever reason, but hopefully that will soon change.
  13. This sentence sums up this entire situation.
  14. It doesn't make sense for people to compare Prince's contract issues to Cordero or Lee, because unlike those two the Brewers are probably legitimately interested in signing him long-term. The last person they were legitimately interested in re-signing long-term was Ben Sheets, and they got him.
  15. I agree with most here but I'll add a few new ones: Ghostbusters Super Troopers The old Pink Panther Movies Airplane! The Naked Gun Movies
  16. This is kind of gross. Instead of a Gross/Dillon platoon in right with Hart in center, we get a Kapler/Gwynn platoon in center. Blech.
  17. I disagree. Bush has a nasty curve and probably throws harder than Villanueva more regularly.
  18. It may also stem from the fact that Hardy is the only one out of the wave of young players who has a viable replacement close to the big leagues.
  19. Saying you could care less doesn't tell me anything. You couldn't care less. "Ginormous" also bugs me.
  20. Man he has all sorts of stuff in there. Torn ligaments, bone spurs, arthritis... Yikes. Can't imagine how you can swing a bat with that. I'm guessing he'll play until he sees they are out of it and get surgery at some point in the second half of the season.
  21. I don't understand why he keeps getting managerial jobs.
  22. If that works he's gonna be pretty pissed he didn't try that ten years earlier.
  23. Yes! I had heard of it, but never seen it until a few months ago. I rented all the discs on Netflix and it was awesome. I can't believe it was cancelled after only 18 episodes, such a shame. Word.
  24. Marquette may have an harder SOS overall, but it doesn't really matter if they don't win those games. They are 3-7 against RPI 1-50 while Wisconsin is 4-4. It's very tough for me to guess who will go further, but I think I have to go with Wisconsin. Their defense is outstanding, which is something that can really carry you when you aren't shooting well. Marquette can get blown out when they don't shoot well.
