  1. Here is something close to what I would expect 1) Devin to Texas for Justin Foscue, Winston Santos, and Jonathan Hernandez 2)Luis Lara, Hoby, and Alexander Cornielle for Drew Rasmussen Foscue gives us another upside infield bat that could platoon with Black and getting Rasmussen back is a risk but he could be a great buy low option with lots of upside. Sign a couple of cheap veteran arms C-Contreras 1B-Rhys,Black, Foscue 2B-Turang SS-Ortiz OF- Chourio, Mitchell, Frelick DH-Yeli Bench-Haase(resign), Perkins, Foscue/Black, Collins Hicklen/vet minor league deal P-Peralta, Rea, Tobias, Civale, Woody Pen-Megill, Hudson, Koenig, Mears, Payamps, Peguero, Rasmussen, Wilson/Paredes/Hernandez/Hall/Uribe?/Bauk/Zas vets
  2. Giants sent Camilo Doval to the minors. He could be an interesting buy low candidate this offseason if he would be available. I doubt we pay for a starter maybe a Junis/Ross type who could be a starter or reliever. I could see a trade for one, it comes down to if the front office believes Tyler Black can be an everyday player defensively. I don't think I'd make a huge trade for an ace, if Black for a mlb ready IF or upside starter.
  3. Can we come up with a cool nickname for his changeup before he comes up. The Air-Ender, The Yoho Yoyo, Yoho-no-go
  4. Yophery .253/.393/.449 6 hr 12 sb 41bb/40 k Lara .260/.341/.385 2 hr 7 sb 21bb/28k Chourio .296/.386/.447 5 hr 8 sb 23bb/28k Made .343/.461/.547 5 hr 23 sb 31bb/24 k Pena .399/.459/.595 1 hr 34 sb 13 bb/14k Ortuna .342/.457/.470 1 hr 18 sb 21 bb/19 k Anderson .288/.412/.536 8 hr 14 sb 29bb/34 k Comparing the 4 this year, to the recent 3 I would say all 4 should start in Carolina. C=Dinges IF=Bitonti, Di Turri, Made, Pena, Adamchezcki, Johan Barrios, Tyler Rodriguez OF=Anderson, Ortuna (1B/LF/utl?) Looks like a good idea to move someone to the OF.
  5. We could have money especially if Hoskins leaves and we trade Devin. However Freddie will get a raise, Ashby makes 3-4, so does Chourio I believe. We also owe a decent amount on buyouts for guys.
  6. Everything I start to get a bit down on this club they bring me back. Great offensive display especially against Sale and Morton. I was even going to rip Bauers in this post and then he spanks one.
  7. If he can stay healthy for a few years there is definitely some 30/30 potential in Mitchell. I think some of those holes or flaws are just the result of not being healthy for more than 2 months at a time for the past 3 years.
  8. Agree, only like 100 people family attendance. If they can have a field of dreams game why not a sandlot game.
  9. Dang, 33 hbp in 89 games. Does he stand in the box weird or is it something like everyone tries to pitch him inside. I know he got hit a ton last year as well. I feel like a broken record but man are our minors and second tier prospects under rated. At 18 where do you think Bitonti would have been drafted this year, borderline top 10 with the other top 2 everyday HS prospects or later 1st? Either way that should make him a borderline top 100 prospect soon enough.
  10. The big part of the offseason for me is if Rhys picks up his option or not. At this point, I can't see him hitting free agency. However if he has a strong last 2 months and is hitting close to career averages .245/.350/.450+ 30HR he probably will decline. I think from there getting a solid return for Devin will be key. I doubt we have much money to do any thing big outside of that. It would be nice to just pick a spot for Black and give him a shot, otherwise I would be getting something for him while he has value. With Freddy, Woody, Rea, Civale, and Tobias there is the start to a nice rotation (to bad Gasser is gone for 2025). With Hall, Patrick, Misi, CarRod some likely vet depth adds for depth we don't necessarily need a big add. The only other thing I would bring up is the idea of trading Freddy. He has 2 affordable years left after this year and has been solid. However if we can get a highend return (two top 100 prospects and 2 other solid pieces) I think it might be worth thinking about. Minus the big strikeout numbers he has just been a slightly above average starter his entire career except 21.
  11. Sorry this is obviously to early but I always am looking for interesting transaction ideas.
  12. Any thoughts on Yoho maybe making the move to starting. With 4 pitches that have plus movement he might not lose much effectiveness losing a couple mph.
  13. Has there been any news on any of our draft picks moving up to Carolina? I get that most of the better college players still spend a week or so in Arizona getting acclimated so maybe later in the week???
  14. I live in Michigan, if the Detriot GM trades Skubel they will fully lose the fan-base. For them to trade Skubel they would need to get a Soto haul or better. The Tigers should have money to extend him. Depending on his rehab I would be really interested in Sandy Alcantara. The Marlins probably wouldn't trade him on cheap but with the guys they added maybe we could build a package around Black. Maybe Pablo Lopez could be available depending on the Twins finances. He hasn't been great but advanced stats show a better pitcher. He probably would be as expensive as other top starters and his stuff is still excellent. Is this the offseason to trade Yeli? At 33 next year he still likely has a couple good years left if the back holds. He would likely be the 2nd best bat available so we could capitalize on a weaker position player market. I get he would have to approve a deal but it could happen especially if we push him hard on playing 1st and he puts his foot down.
  15. Yeah I just put everyone in and figured if they didn't sign the admission would just take him out.
  16. Something went wrong with my top portion??? The bottom part is my list.
  17. I would mind giving Rafael Montero a shot but he hasn't been good since 2022.

Jacob MisiorowskiJeferson QueroTyler BlackRobert GasserBrock WilkenCarlos F RodriguezCooper PrattMike BoeveLuis LaraYophery RodriguezJosh KnothEric Brown JrLogan HendersonLuke AdamsEric BitontiBrett WichrowskiJuan BaezTyler WoessnerDylan O'Rae 1. Misi- The stuff is still there, probably more like a top 50 prospect than tip 20 in my book. The top 3 are all close. 2. Black- Wherever he plays the bat will be good with some power coming through. Again probably borderline top 50. 3. Quero- If he comes back like last year probably #1 overall in the system but I have to hold the injure against him some. Probably borderline top 50 as well. 4. Pratt- Needs to get to Appleton, some more power and he could be #1 at the end of the year. Top feels right. 5. Yophery Rodriguez- The 5 tools are starting to shine recently. Plate discipline is improving it seems. 6. Gasser- Hard to rank with the injury, 7 feels ok with the solid big league debut but out a year. 7. Knoth- At 18 has held his own in A ball, the stuff looks great. 8. Wilken- He was the hardest to rank for me could decide between 5-10. Good to see the power coming through. 9. Henderson- 64k to bb in 45 innings is great, last couple starts haven't been great. 10. Wichrowski- Solid stuff, has adjusted to AA, looking for a great end to year. 11. Letson- Has been wonder in A ball, if he can add some mph's over the next few years there could be top of the rotation stuff. 12. Bitonti- As good as it gets in rookie ball, needs A ball. The power plays. 13. Boeve- AA seems good, is going to need to add some pop to be a big time prospect. 14-17 Payne, Levonas, McCabe, Burke I am going to lump the 4 big rookies in together. 18-Adams- The most overlook prospect in the system. With the huge obp, underappriciated speed, and big power lots to dream on at 20. 19. Lara- Hasn't been terrible and at 19 in A+ is great. Just not as sparkly as I hoped. 20. Arienamo- I probably should have him higher, has bee great. Some power showing and even taking some walks. 21. Yoho- At 24 and a reliever I have a hard time going higher but I could see him in the top 10 easy. 22. P Car Rod Not great this year but still young enough to be a big time stater. 23.Baez. Solid year, at 19 there is plenty of upside. 24. O'Rae. Probably should have stayed in A+, but the speed and eye will play. 25-27 Pena, Made, Anderson. As a rule I don't try and over rank players in the Dominican league but I could see these guys close to the top 10. 28. Manny Rodriguez- A few more mph and I would have him in the top 15 easy. It's crazy that he could be this low. 29. Shane Smith- Working well as a starter, another good potential pitcher barely in the top 30. 30. Di Turi- Hasn't been great in A ball but we saw the upside early. 31-40 EBJ, Ademcechzki, Ortuna, Birchard, Blalock, Kuehner, Herrera, Cornielle, Hunt, Patrick
  19. Has Shane Smith still been around 95 as a starter? Our AAA rotation next year could be CarRod, Misi, Smith, Patrick and Wichrowski/Henderson sounds amazing.
  20. OK, this is off topic but how much can an undrafted free agent sign for? Could a team work with someone like William Schmidt who pulled out of the draft and not get drafted and then sign them as a UDFA for like 10 million. That way the player gets payed and goes to a team they want or is there a max for UDFA. Also have we signed any UDFA other than Feilder, is there a timeliness to sign undarfted players.
  21. In the end it won't matter that we didn't sign Levonas or Nunnalee unless they become all-stars. If we can get 3 productive players this draft becomes a success. There are plenty of HS talents and decent college players to make that happen. I think the biggest fault of this draft was that in day 2 we didn't take a higher thought off top 150 or HS player to protect against not signing Levonas, ala Pratt last year. That way there was a plan a, plan b, and plan c.
  22. Don't rush Wilken, I like the idea of trading Black for a young mlb ready IF prospect if he isn't 1B ready. We also could get a IF starter in a Devin Williams deal if his value is close to Burnes. We will have Sal, Andruw, Dunn, and Collins potentially next year. Boeve and Wilken will also be in AAA so the could move up if none of the options work well. I would love to move Yeli to platoon 1st/DH (he will donfine at 1st just put the foot down)(i am sure it will be a bit better for the back) with Rhys (depending on option) and go Sal/Mitchell/Chourio in the OF with Blake a 4th OF and Yeli occasionally.
  23. Looking at other trades that went down who do you feel we missed out on? For me with prices so high on arms I think we missed out on not trading an arm. I doubt Hoby or Payamps would have gotten a huge return but either should have gotten 2 at least interesting pieces. 1) The overall price the Cardinals paid for Fedde was insanely low. Just Edman, the overall package the Sox got for Fedde, Kopech, and Pham was less than what I thought we could/would offer. 2)Isaac Paredes for Morel was a steal for the Cubs. Even if Paredes regressive some I think getting rid of Morel was huge for them. Paredes could have helped at 1st and 3rd (with Ortiz struggling) and taken over 3rd next year for a relatively low price. 3)Civale deal was great, even though he hasn't been great I would say we got him for a lot less than if the Ray's waited until the deadline. (I like the Mears deal a bunch as well especially after watching him throw). 4)Amed Rosario for a 27 year old with a 5 era in AAA seems like a great deal (maybe the reliever has a bigger arm than I am thinking) Rosario would have been a really nice bench piece.
  24. We're the T-rats short on pitching that Cornielle had to stay in for 12 runs. I feel like after 7 or 8 runs you usually take a struggling pitcher out. How many guys in the Domician league do we expect to jump to a ball next year. Pena and Made seem like near locks with Andrson and Ortuna as possibilities.
  25. Pretty sure Cortes is on the market only if the Yanks add Flaherty or a bigger name pitcher. I wouldnt mind him but really wouldn't give much up.
