  1. France would be ok but he does have an obp under .700. He was great the previous 2 years, but the Mariners are going to want a 2022 price for a guy who has been Brian Anderson-ish this year. If the price is like Hendry Mendez and Logan Henderson I think that could be doable but my guess is the M's would want more than that.
  2. He is having a very 2018 season where he was solid the first 100 games. Hopefully he his Barry Bonds-esque like the end of 2018 as well.
  3. What is the amount for 11-20 rounders that starts to count against the bonus. Was it 150k?
  4. Maybe in a couple years, Ramirez did Cleveland a solid with his contract. If they trade him they would lose a crazy amount of fan support.
  5. Jackson ChourioJeferson QueroJacob MisiorowskiSal FrelickTyler BlackBrock WilkenLuis LaraCarlos F RodriguezEric Brown JrRobert GasserAbner UribeJosh KnothCooper PrattEric BitontiDaniel GuilarteMike BoeveLogan HendersonJustin JarvisLuke AdamsDylan O'Rae I feel like this is the strongest our farm system has been in a really long time. There are easily 30 guys I could see in our top 20.
  6. I really like Black but the lack of defense at this time puts him 5 or lower in my opinion. Chourio is 3.5 years at the same level and is hitting 10ish points less (way lower obp). Chourio has way more defensive chops and power.
  7. I am over the moon with these signings. There might/should be enough to get Pratt, Bitonti, Letson, and a couple of the other HS picks later.
  8. Should it be concerning that we haven't signed any picks? I am sure we are just playing hardball trying to get every cent to sign Pratt and some of those 11-20 round picks. I know usually like 5 or 6 guys can sign at once. Maybe I'm just a bit antsy.
  9. Bellinger would be great however he is another guy that might cost one of our better prospects for. I would be all for giving up 2 guys in the 10-20 range of our ranking for him but not top 8-10. Renfroe would be fine, I wouldn't be over the moon but as a DH and occasional RF, meh (not sure how the clubhouse feel about him). With Cutch going back to Pitt. it sounded like he wasn't going anywhere. I believe I remember their GM saying that Cutch wasn't going anywhere as well. Would anyone take a risk on Tim Anderson to play 2B, he has been rough but I feel like getting in the playoff hunt would jump start him. He wouldn't cost much and could be a big boost if motivated correctly. If Jimenez isn't to badly hurt he would be interesting, however getting a young injury prone player who only really DH's could really hurt the long term outlook. I doubt the Sox sell low on him, they likely would need at least 1 borderline top 100 prospect and 2 other interesting pieces. With 3.5 years of control they won't sell low on a 26 year old. With Anderson out it seems like the perfect time to give Huira a chance. Is there some financial reason that Huira wouldn't get a chance.
  10. The Yankees just moved into last place, I am thinking the Red Sox won't be selling. The Angels, Padres, and Mariners are probably more likely to sell than the Red Sox. Of those teams Brandon Drury and Ty France are the only corner IF help (maybe Eugenio Suarez). Both would be really great but I think the price would be stepper than we would want.
  11. I feel like trading Weimer would be selling low. He should eventually hit over .250 and will win gold gloves in RF once Mitchell and Chourio are around in CF. There is a 5 WAR player in there at some point.
  12. Yeah, good point. I will adjust those offers. Hendry Mendez, Joseph Hernandez, and Abraham Toro for Turner Logan Henderson, Carlos Rodriguez (OF), and Jason Alexander for Candelario Both offers contain a top 15ish org prospect, top 30 and 40 man roster swap.
  13. End of year staff Rotation) Burnes, Woody, Peralta, Miley, Teheran/Rea Pen) Williams, Payamps, Peguro, Hoby, Bryse Wilson, Houser, Uribe, Ashby/Justin Wilson If Uribe isn't great and Ashby's rehab isn't on track by the end of the month I would be all for a depth add in the pen. However at this point I don't think it is high priority.
  14. On the value of our prospects. 1) Chourio is still a top 5 prospect, even though his ba isn't great he still has incredibly high potential, he just might not debut until the end of 24' (at 20) which is fine. There are probably only a couple dozen players in the league he would be traded for and I doubt any of those guys are available. 2)Quero and Misi at this point are widely undervalued, come next year they will both likely be around the top 30. So trading them at a lower value wouldn't make sense. 3) Frelick and Black are probably our 2 most likely to be traded prospects. I really don't want to trade them unless we are getting a top notch player with control. I like a 2025 lineup of C Quero/Contreras 1B Yeli/trade, 2B Black, SS Turang, 3B Wilken, 4 man OF Weimer, Chourio, Mitchell, Frelick, DH Contreras, Yeli, 4th OF way to much to sell on Black or Frelick for a short term bat.
  15. I can't see us getting Alonso or Goldschmidt at the deadline. However I could see a Burnes for Goldy based deal working in the offseason. The Cards needs pitching we need a bat, we could maybe extend Goldy for 2/50 through 2026 and the Cards could give Burnes a massive 8/260 style extension. I doubt Alonso moves anywhere, the Mets have lots of money coming of the books between this year and next. The Mets fans love him and have plenty of money to extend him.
  16. Justin Turner and Jeimer Candelario would be at the top of my list. I would try and find ways to trade some of our guys on the 40 man who are seemingly on the way out. Turner for Tyrone Taylor, Ethan Small/Janson Junk, and Gregory Barrios Candelario for Peter Strezlecki/Janson Junk, Abraham Toro, and Jeison Pena Each trade clears up 40 man roster space and improves our lineup without gicing ip meaningful future pieces. The other team 2 young controllable player with some mlb experience for this season and beyond and a lotto type prospect. 1) Yeli, 2) Turner, 3) Candyman, 4) Adames (if he continues to hit), 5) Contreras. That actually sounds like a decent 1-5 and we could make a swing at a decent DH/1B still.
  17. I am guessing he has a big arm with that high of an era.
  18. I was just trying to make the money work, you could take from Wilken and add some to Knoth and Pratt.
  19. Any thoughts on how we get everyone signed? 1) Wilken= 3.9 mill save=121k I doubt Wilken takes much of a discount but maybe a little. 1comp) Knoth= 2.1 mill save=493k This is paying him 2nd round money, as a lower ranked guy 2 mill would seem a solid payday. 2)Boeve= 1.1 mill save=446k Boeve takes less as a smaller school college player who went above rankings. 3)Bitoniti= 1.5 mill over=708k My guess is the 2 lowers drafted HS players will want around 1.5 mill to forgo college. ??? 4)Woodward=100k save=457k Pretty sure he had Tommy John and will be out most of next year. We should be able to sign him well below. 5) Birchard= 392k at slot As a 19 year old with options I doubt we can go below slot. 6)Pratt= 1.5 over=1.19k Same as Bitonini 7-10 Kuehner, Yoho, Manfred, Austin Sign 400k (100k each) save=382k That comes out pretty muchly even if my math is correct. It would be nice to have a little extra to sign Letson and some of the other HS picks after 10.
  20. As much as I love Hader, 25-ish innings is not worth the 1 solid or 2 good pieces he will cost. I am sure he would cost like Gasser or something like Mendez and Logan Henderson. I'd rather go after a guy with contol if giving up a decent prospect package. Kendall Graveman, Scott Barlow, Daniel Bard, or Drew Smith are guys controlled through 2024 and wouldn't cost a ton. Don't forget when Woody comes back Houser might go back to the pen, Uribe will hopefully stick. Also if Ashby comes back it might be to the bullpen. Maybe a guy like Lauer comes back as a reliever. A nice late inning arm would be nice but unnecessary.
  21. Mlb hasn't re-ranked prospects since the beginning of the year. When guys graduate they just move everyone up 1 spot and add new guys in like Quero and Misi who weren't in the ranking. I am sure when reranked Frelick goes down a bunch and Quero and Misi jump. Chourio probably falls a bit but my guess is not out of the top 10. Chourio's tools still will keep him above Quero. Chourio is still on pace for nearly 20/40 at 19.
  22. I love Travis Sykora, Cameron Johnson, and Cole Schoenwetter as big upside HS arms. However who knows signabilty matters. Hunter Owen, Jaron Watts-Brown, and Tanner Witt all seem likely to be solid 4/5 starters but without huge ceilings. Plenty of interesting bats as well, my favorite is Brandon Winokur a 6'5" HS bat that has great power and athleticism.
  23. No but he should be top 50 or so in mlb. In my opinion 1. Chourio top 5 2-4 Quero, Frelick Misiorowski around top 50 5-7 Black, Lara, Wilken End of top 100/Borderline
  24. Only 9 strikouts in over 200 abs. This guy feels identical to Tyler Black. Small school guy, high end hit tool with a little power and speed. He is maybe a bit slower but probably a better fielder. Another very solid pick is my opininion.
