  1. So when Pedro is catching in a Save situation does it become a 'Saverino'? I'll see myself out.
  2. Very interesting. Please keep us posted. As always, this is great offseason 'intel'!
  3. The HOF adds howsoever many newly eligible players every year as a perfunctory gesture, with most of them falling off after the first year when they receive less than 5% of the vote. Last few years... 2021: 11 new players added, 8 fell off. (Only Buehrle, Hunter & Hudson got over 5%) 2020: 18 new players added, 16 fell off. (Jeter elected, Abreu over 5%) 2019: 20 new players added, 16 fell off (Mariano/Roy elected, Helton/Pettitte over 5%) 2018: 19 new players added, 14 fell off (Chipper/Thome elected, Omar/Rolen/Andruw over 5%) 2017: 19 new players added, 16 fell off (Ivan elected, Vlad/Manny over 5%) Out of this year's 13 newly added players ARod and Ortiz look like the only locks to stick around. Teixeira & Rollins are probably the next best bets, but they'll likely struggle to get the 5% needed to stay on the ballot. Thank You! I clearly did NOT understand how the HOF ballot ring worked and now I do. Much appreciated.
  4. I did an analysis of Grayscale a year or so back looking at the Premium buy and sell opportunities in Blood and Gains. It's fairly significant. I recall seeing 15-23% Premiums? WHich, I found fascinating. Still not fascinating enough to entice me not to hodl or buy the 'real' cryptos. In Canadia, one can actually Hodl the Grayscale offerings ( I believe? Not entirely sure) for their tax free retirement hodlings. Up yonder der I believe that is roughly a $61k CAD capacity. Speaking from memory.
  5. I was thinking back to your post here recently: Holy biscuits were you right about AVAX. Well done! That sucker has blasted out of the $40's. I looked today and it is into the $100's. Hopefully you had some. Again, kudos.
  6. Very glad I didn't watch the game yesterday. Seems like it was a heartbreaker. But, then again, as Packer fans that's kind of par for the course. Here's hoping they get healthy and played improved in the secondary department next week - that's a very tough game against a QB who is known to pick up yards against GB defenses. The fg kicking woes? I don't even know what to think at this point. Mason is essentially a 50% kicker today...including XP's. That has to be historically bad, no?
  7. I fondly recall my Door County summers back in the 1980's. My parents had a Timeshare at a place called 'The Rushes of Door County'. Times more simpler then. Or, perhaps, I was just younger and more naive. Regardless, I loved that version of Door County. Tho, I will point out: There is a 'Goats on the Roof' attraction very akin to the Door County one on Vancouver Island. They even sell you keychains of a goat pooping off a roof (if, for some reason, you're into that type of thing). I digress. I really only consider 'Up North' Wisconsin Superior. I guess, that's because I lived in Minnesota for 12 years and only consider 'Up North' there The Boundary Waters.
  8. All so true, just so true. Sounds like my district. I am retiring after this school year, 33 years in the profession and I'm ready to be done. It can't come soon enough. I enjoyed it immensely the first 24-25 years, not so much the past 8 or so... The teaching profession is an entire different animal from when I started, and there is no wonder at all why there is currently a shortage of teachers coming out of college. It's going to be a long long time before people want to start teaching again. This makes me very sad. Thank you for your service to your students. I think Teachers are in that class of Heroes that Moms reside in: underappreciated, underpaid, generally undervalued and overworked. That all sounds extremely taxing. Again, thank you for your efforts.
  9. I admit: I look at this year's HOF Ballot and I question the criteria of a lot of candidates. Maybe I mis-remember these careers or am out of touch with the HOF process? BUT, then again, Tina Turner was only in the Rock and Roll HOF for decades as Ike and Tina but only just in 2021 for her Solo career. I guess, I just don't understand how HOF are supposed to work.
  10. Another Classic Brew Crew under the radar stab w upside. Will be curious to see how this plays out.
  11. Perfect signing. Loving this off-season so far.
  12. The purpose is to make money right? How do I make money if the exchanges are taking high transaction fees? That's going to discourage me from making trades. Or is the idea that it's fine because we're not talking about 10% gains here, we're going for 100% or 1000%? What's clear to me is that these exchanges are making absurd amounts of money right now by siphoning off transaction fees. Sites I've never heard of are buying naming rights to arenas? That's just wild. The people getting rich off this seem to be the ones that are controlling the marketplace, and it's so unregulated that they can basically do whatever they want. The Michael Lewis book about this era is going to be something. Thanks for those links -- GAME05. There's a ton to digest. I don't even know where to start. Honestly it seems like it would be a better use of my energy to just create my own altcoin, that seems like a better use of my energy. Get ready for BF.net coin or something... As far as I can tell, the FIAT onramp I used, Coinbase Pro, has a .5% fee (less if you are sending more money). A quick google of an EFT fee shows a yearly .95% expense ratio. For someone like me who plans to hold for more than 5 years (I am in year 5), buying the actual crypto seems to make a lot more sense. Also, I can trade at any hour of the day. But again, whatever gets people into the space is a good thing. Also, the exchanges, like Coinbase and Gemini, are very regulated. CB Pro is a free Cash transfer via Bank Account. Has been for awhile. Same with Bittrex. Same with Gemini. The fees came when you tried to wire money or use the more convenient direct deposit via a Debit card, for example. CB Pro offers free ACH Bank transfers and withdrawals and free USD to USDC conversion, fwiw. If you are trading, per se, there are Maker and Taker fees. BUT, this is the same in any trading Market - stonks or Forex. You always pay a Broker fee. The less time you worry about fees, the better - it will drive you Mad. My personal recommendation would be to focus more on sensible entries at Support and gaining a general sense of the type of Market you are Buying and Selling in. My 2 Cents. (Probably worth more like, what, 1.5 cents given hyperinflation). Also, for newbie Crypto peeps: I traded this ish when CB Pro was called 'GDax'...before Gemini was even online. Believe me, the learning curve is steep. I remember being so dang frustrated way back when at how ridiculously foreign it all felt. We've come eons since that time AND, man, it still isn't hyper convenient or easy. Having dealt with GPU mining well before Asics were a thing (a vastly bigger headache than learning how to understand Exchanges etc), I can tell you: It's always better to 'own' your crypto and have it offline in say a Ledger Nano X or some comparable form of Cold Storage - maybe an offline Paper Wallet. Just my 1.5 centavos. Good luck!
  13. It would appear so. What I see is Mathias was outrighted and they keep 5 open roster spots for the time being. No signings reported or announced.
  14. I was just about to post a similar sentiment. He really has come on all season. A showing in the AZL really has my ears perked up. This kid seems to have entered 'the conversation'.
  15. Not gonna lie, I read ‘Beloit Sky Crap’ originally. What the heck is a ‘Sky Carp’?
  16. THIS is awesome. He is a huge fan of Door County. What a great move by a the new Boss. Love it.
  17. It's a beautiful thing. Congrats to Burnesy. An incredible season.
  18. So, Brook Lopez is apparently the Team MVP. Who knew?
  19. Man, the loss of Mercilus really stings. He was a really really nice rotational rusher. Rushing him, Gary, Clark and Smith was really problematic for opposing OLines. I am bummed. Our secondary is going to be ridiculous if Jaire gets back in the time. BUT, we need Gary playing and we absolutely need to find another Vet capable of producing on pass rushing downs. If I am Gutey, I am definitely checking in w Olivier Vernon to see how his rehab has progressed. Just really a Stinker for Mercilus and the Packers.
  20. Well dang. Going to miss Manny and his Catching.
  21. Here's hoping Mercilus didn't suffer a major injury. He has been a godsend rotational rush guy. He is constantly getting pressure. Looks like major bullets, in the early going pre-tests, dodged for Gary and Jonesy. That first FG appeared to be all on Mason. Quick and perfect snap. Good quick hold, laces out. Just a shank. Mason is back in one of those classic Mason funks it would appear after his blocking unit and snap/hold unit was letting him down for weeks. Wooof. Not a good development. I still don't like a single thing I see in the play sequencing. Petals is out of synch. What I predominantly see is a Coach and QB entirely infatuated with their passing designs and creativity. What does this lead to? Stupid stuff like 2 Shotgun handoffs on 3rd and short. You can't have that. I haven't liked the flow of this offense all season and it continues after another victory. Their best football might be ahead of them. But, it might just be a season where they can't get the offense going. They need to find the will to commit to a run game that can dominate. I just don't see them doing that. It's all so patchy. I can't believe it's the Defense at the halfway plus mark that is the glue of this Team. BUT, it is definitely the defense that has pushed this team. What a wild season.
  22. Wait, we traded for Brousseau? Muchacho likey. This is the perfect 'buy low and throw him in the Mix' guy we should be targeting. Noice!
  23. The AFL has not been kind to Joe Gray Jr. I feel for the kid. Rough go.
  24. Wisconsin Badger fans are as spoiled with RB's as Packer fans are with QB's. Is Allen not even 18?!? Yikes. That is bonkers.
  25. I want you all to know, due to the increasing complexities of posting on Internet Chat Boards, I will diversify my own Account. I will now host 2 individuals in this same account. The account and the posts will still post as my current moniker 'Julio Muchacho' (fwiw, this is a play on words for the late and tragic great Julio Machado...I actually once heard on a Brewers telecast as a teenager he ate iguana. It stuck with me ever since). This is an Old School approach to posting. I honed my chops since the glorious days of 'My Space'. I will welcome aboard a second poster, under the same moniker, BUT, for those concerned, they go by 'Tony Stanza' in the far corners of the Web - an NFT producer out of Amsterdam. He brings a hip modern feel to my posts. Someone in touch with Gen Z. Someone who can Code the back-end, so to speak. We will host a Twitch stream to announce this development later this month. Thank You.
