  1. Where would the Brewers be without Yelich and Contreras?
  2. Apparently for the Cubs 19th and 22nd ranked prospects. Ouch.
  3. Not particularly exciting but I didn’t have high expectations in the first place.
  4. And Rowdy and Anderson returning from injury doesn’t count.
  5. I can’t see too many fans putting up much of a fuss if we trade them in the offseason, especially if we go down quickly and easily in the postseason. I think most understand our financial constraints, particularly with Burnes.
  6. Rumored player? Probably Ohtani before the Angles took him off the market but even that would have been a really hard pill to swallow. Maybe Juan Soto? Can’t think of anyone else.
  7. I still think we’ll get a pretty good return for Burnes in the offseason but I hear what you’re saying.
  8. Expanded playoffs are going to drain the fun out of these trade deadlines going forward I’m afraid.
  9. I thought for sure he should play the entire year in Biloxi but honestly I’m not sure there’s anything left for him to prove at AA now that his walks are up and his strikeouts are down. I’d send him to Nashville asap.
  10. Promotion to AAA. Sorry, should have expounded. Definitely not implying any trade.
  11. Could tonight be Chourio and Black’s last game as Shuckers? Wouldn’t totally shock me.
  12. Imagine having to play these guys in a 5 or 7 game series.
  13. This Shuckers offense is relentless, even without Quero in the lineup.
  14. If we trade anyone in our top 5 (including Black), I assume it will be for someone substantial who has years of control.
  15. Southern League ranks after tonight: Homeruns (T-4th) RBI’s (2nd) Runs (4th) Hits (1st) Doubles (T-6th) SB (4th) Batting Average (12th)
  16. Agreed. The bullpen is fine, particularly with reinforcements coming. No more trading for worthless relievers at the deadline please.
  17. He has 25 doubles on the season and a really good SO:BB walk ratio as usual.
  18. Severino…ouch. I’ve been wanting the Brewers to go after Santana for a long time though.
