Who all here is in college, where, and what for?

I am going to college (again) at the age of 27, at ITT Tech in Green Bay, for Digital Entertainment and Game Design.

P.S. If Joe_Hova reads this, are you the same Joe_Hova that is registered at the IGDA forum?

First-year law student at UW-Madison. Graduated from there with B.A. in Zoology a couple years ago.
This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

theavrock, based on your education so far... are you for or against the consumption of animal crackers?

Data from empirical research shows no direct link between the recent trend in decreasing animal cracker population and human consumption. A myriad of other factors such production capabilities, taste preference and the movement towards oily, fat based snacks show a much stronger link for this trend. In other words, I love me some animal crackers. I think I am going to eat some while I watch college hoops.

Sophomore at UWM, studying psychology. Great stuff.

Behaviorist or cognitivist? You have some pretty well-respected behavior analysts there like Jay Moore.

Behaviorist. I'll take a cognitive course from time to time, but neuroscience is a very exhausting course line. My kudos to anyone who can keep up. As for UWM's behavior analysts, they're top notch. I definitely would be hard-pressed to find better people to learn from.

Senior at UW Oshkosh majoring in Exercise Science and Health Promotion. Ahhh UW Fox Valley, I graduated from there a couple years ago with my Associates degree.

What years were those? Perhaps we passed in the halls. I was there from ~'03-'05, but didn't get my associates before deciding I was wasting my time and money because I really didn't know what I wanted to do. It's funny how finally being in a program that is what I want to do has upped my GPA from ~2.3 to ~3.9, hehe.

Age 28, started going back to school part-time at 26 at UW-Washington County. I moved to Tucson, AZ and started at Pima Community College. I liked my Calculus teacher, so I will stick there until Junior status. Eventually, I will go to the University of Arizona for Mechanical/Aerospace engineering. The wages stink here, so I think next fall I am going to try and take 4 classes a semester and work the minimum to maintain insurance. I hope to be done in 3.5 years. Then from there I will try and find a job that will make it worth the effort of going to school. I made about $47,000 my last year in WI, I am lucky to get $32,000/year here as a toolmaker. When you are 28 and look 18, you don't get much respect. I think a few gray hairs are worth another $4/hour, even if you stink at your job! haha.

All I can say is that I have a lot of respect for those who have made it through an engineering degree. I thought I was above average intelligence until I started going to school again. It's definitely not a degree you can get by without a good effort. There isn't a whole lot of free time for me. Spring break was this week, and I commented to my co-workers it felt like retirement! Back at Differential Equations and Vector Calculus tomorrow!
