Its times like tonight I wished we lived in a big market like NY, PHI or CHI where the media would pepper RR with lots of questions about 8th inning decision making...

Awful, awful at bat by Hart.

Trying to piece together conversations ... Trying to find out where to lay the blame"

The ump has decided that Hart's knees go down to his shin so I'm not optomisitc
I'm watching live and Hart is just now approaching the plate, but you're right. Please tell me what the future holds

This wasn't Hart's first AB

NOW HAWKINS IS WARMING UP?!?!?!?! !#$ ROENICKE!?! WHY WOULDN"T YOU USE HIM IN THE 8TH AND AX IN THE 9TH?!?!

Why would you ever put a guy in in the 8th inning who has only allowed 1 ER in 16 outings this year. That roll is reserved for a guy who did okay filling in as a 5th starter when Greinke was hurt, and had one or two decent appearances out of the bullpen. Prince..I thought you would know that.

Corey has had 5 good games and the rest, quite frankly, have been bad. He just cannot lay off the slider away.

He laid off it just fine in an earlier AB. And I don't have the ability to go back to the 9th inning AB, but I think the last one would have been a called strike, anyway.

This hawkins guy is pretty good...

The pitch Hart missed would have been strike three. He missed a pitch against a pitcher with ferocious stuff who strikes out more than a batter per inning in his career.

Is anybody else really annoyed by the arbitrariness of MLB Gameday's Live Look-Ins?

Braddock and Hawkins combine to pitch 1.2 innings with 2 strikeouts, no hits, no walks. Apparently neither are good enough for Roenicke in the 8th. Seriously, Haudricourt or somebody in the media needs to ask him why neither of those guys have been used in the key 8th inning situations when it is clear they are our two best pitchers in the pen other than Axford.
This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

You're right. In fact, I'm fairly certain Hart was trying to lay off that slider on the strikeout until he realized it was going to be in the zone and by that time it was too late.

Hart is an ok player that people love to give benefit of the doubt for whatever reason. I can't win on here. Same happened with Hardy and Hall.
