I'm sorry, but how is RR a bigger culprit than guys like Lucroy, Braun, Betancourt, Casey that are hit-less tonight?

Well, he didn't pinch hit for one of the hitless players is one way.

 

Others: bunting ahead of Braun and Prince again, Estrada instead of Saito, leaving Estrada out there for back to back lefties, etc.

 

Braun and Lucroy have also been unlucky somewhat tonight. I'm not going to blame them for that.

Part of me wants Green to hit for Casey simply to give us a chance to stay out of the double play and then send Kotsay up for Yuni. Play CC at short if needed.

Probably not with Counsell or Green being the only options (and the potential for extras)...but if Gomez is there do you think about it?

While I know it would never happen, having McGehee bunt Fielder to second would be the slowest sacrifice in MLB history.

This is the type of game/situation we can probably expect in the playoffs. I will cry if Casey and Yuni are still allowed to bat in these kind of situations in the post season. I don't think you can pintch hit for Casey but it is almost a must for Yuni.
