But KRod is so excited to get to 300 saves! As Brewer fans, that is supposed to matter to us!

And it's over. What a crazy series. Glad these games mean little or I would be throwing things.

In the real world, K-Rod no longer has a job, but in MLB fantasyland, he gets to keep doing the same exact nonsense day in and day out with the same result.

I hate this season.

Even last year, K-Rod was often getting by on smoke & mirrors. His command is just gone at this point. I get running him out there (since this season is lost) in the hopes he can put together a string of success before the trade deadline, but man. Not looking too likely at this point.

Give Ax his job back.

K-Rod may have ended his career this week, who in their right mind would give him a contract next year?

Hey, at least we gave the Phillies a reason to think they are not out of it yet...

We might be known as the team that set them up for an incredible run to finish the season, make the play-offs, and win the world series...

If that were to happen, you can bet they would pinpoint this series as their turning point.

Yay.

K-Rod must have skipped Roenicke and Kranitz's meeting with the bullpen this morning.

Obviously, the message was lost in translation.

You guys really need to watch the post game press conference if you want to something truly amazing...

stay tuned.

So did Axford get the closers job back by default?

Does it really matter given K-Rod can still blow leads in the 8th inning instead of the 9th?

Posted

This should have been a 3 game sweep for the Brewers, instead we blow 3 saves and give the Phillies 3 walk off wins in a row. If these games mattered, I think I might be crying.

The thing that just gets me is the walks. Make them hit their way on. I think 8 of the runs the Phillies scored out of the 10-11 we gave up blowing the leads were guys that walked. Just throw strikes.

Leave the entire bullpen save Axford in Philly and bring up the rest of the guys from Nashville. Not really kidding either.

Yea, he often was in all kinds of trouble last year, he just managed to consistently weasel out of it. That's hard to do. Any last inning reliever who puts to many guys on base will usually end up paying for it.

I can already predict the press conference

RRR "We played a good game today....we just couldn't finish it...again" "Ax looked great......Braunie hit the big homer....Rickie is coming around...not used to seeing Frankie struggle like this" "Got to get this thing turned around soon " "I thought the bunts were great calls....we just didn't execute"
