Yet we still have people who think he should be replaced, or platooned.

It's one pitch but it sure would be nice if that kind of thing continues to have a quick hook out of the closer's role for Ax

Ueck was calling the walkoff. How good was the catch?

Nothing all that special. A bit difficult in that the outfielder was approaching the wall and had to reach for it. It's not like Gomez was robbed or anything.

Really too bad what happened in the 9th. Ax looked really good except for one pitch. And even then, most of the time Fowler probably wouldn't park that one into the stands.

 

Overall, the pen has looked good today.
