Having 3 teams in the frozen four is far from disappointing.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Yeah, that was a bit tongue in cheek - although Duluth, St. Cloud, and Minnesota State are all beyond ‘just happy to be there.’ I’m sure ‘disappointed’ describes a lot of hockey fans in Minnesota right now.

If an East Coast team was going to win the Frozen Four, I’m glad it was a team like UMass and not BC or BU.

I think the Blackhawks are done. They had a chance to catch the Preds, but they blew it last night. Sure, there are two more games against the Nashville, but now Chicago has fallen behind Dallas, too. And the remaining schedule is not easy with CAR, TBL, FL & DAL. Nothing easy left on the schedule.

And will #19 ever return? Im beginning to wonder

Toews hasn't looked healthy for the last 3-years something is definitely wrong with him. I hope it isn't something serious but he has been very lethargic and slow the past few years. Maybe it was just age that caught up to him but he has looked like a 35-year old defenseman with one good leg. The Blackhawks need to reset and get under the cap if they are every going to win again.

Yes, he does but they have not disclosed what the issue was/is - or at least I haven’t seen it. Earlier in the year they said that he was “experiencing symptoms that left him drained and lethargic” and then would comment on him “being in good spirits” - which always sounds somewhat ominous.

Tom Wilson. Dirt.

I got so mad watching that Rangers clip of Wilsons antics, that I had to turn it off

Former North Dakota and Philadelphia Flyers Head Coach, Dave Hakstol, was named the first Head Coach of the expansion Seattle Kraken.

If the Kraken miraculously win the Stanley Cup, how many people in Seattle will claim to have been die hard Kraken fans for the last 30 years?

Just getting caught up on the DVR over the last week.

Only the Islanders could lose a game 7 to go to the SC Finals on a short-handed goal.

I love this matchup for the finals. Two hot goaltenders. Canadian drought vs. potential repeat. Fun stuff.

I'd love for the Canadian drought to end, but I'd really prefer it be a Western team...still, the Habs have been fun all playoffs.

Hockey is my brother's sport. A Habs fan in Jacksonville. On todays family Zoom call, he mentioned looking into flying into Montreal, but tickets are starting at USD 3,8000. I had to remind him the border is still sealed and if he even got in, would have to self-isolate for fourteen days. Explain that to his boss. Um, duh!

Heard this morning the cheapest ticket for the first game in Montreal is 11k Canadian!

Holy crap is Bucky going to be bad this year.

I personally think the system and the coaching are so bad that only generational talent can overcome it.

I’m not sure Granato is the right guy. I was super excited when he came to Madison, and he seems to recruit really well, but there is zero depth and the goaltending and defense have been bad for too long.

I really like hockey and mostly badger hockey, but I’m not a hockey guy. I don’t know what the solution is, but I would rather be good year in and year out with mid level nhl potential than have the caufields and turcottes come in, leave right away and even when they are here be a little above decent. Badgers need experience, good role players, etc. but mostly defense and goaltending.

Granato is a better recruiter than Eaves but Eaves was probably the better coach.

It sounds like the basketball team and the hockey team need to adopt the strength of each other....

This makes me wanna watch more Connor McDavid:

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006
