We've been fortunate that Braun has been relatively healthy the last month or more. I don't mind giving him an extra day off with Nelson on the mound.

Totally agree. Just had a day off and another tomorrow. If we weren't contending, then whatever just keep healthy. But in this situation you have to push the envelope a bit. Or if he'd had a few bad games in a row or something, give a day to clear his head. He's been on fire and now will have only played one game in 4 days. Hope he stays hot on Friday. Maybe they'll make up for it by having him play Sunday even without a day off next Monday.
