Suter only pitching 3 today, was that the plan? Im at work doing inventory, I didnt read up any pregame.

Yes. Or well, maybe not specifically 3, but was going to be a short leash and somewhat of a bullpen day. I would've thought 4 though, pitch count was in decent shape and Suter had looked good.

Heck, he was cruising!

2 H, 1 BB in 3 IP... you let him go for 4 or 5 in that case.

Just off the DL, and with a shoulder injury just being cautious. Likely a 45-50 pitch count limit, and was at 43 after 3 with an opportunity to PH for him.

I know Barnes has been a bit of a lightening rod here but you have to like what you saw today. Let's hope he can build off of that performance.

Yah I try not to get excited about one outing. Everyone lost their minds over Hader a few days ago and the very next day he blew the game.

:rolleyes give me a break.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I'm so happy it was only three with Suter. That's what he's really good at. One time through, maybe two but they eventually figure him out and hit him hard. Good strategy today by CC.

Do you disagree? Cause most people got really excited just to be dissapointed a day later. Sorry that was the reality whether you want to accept it or not.

Lol :laughing maybe your reality. Hader, like other elite arms, will never be perfect.

Haha alright man. It's the fact people thought the one outing was more than it was. His control nosedived the next day to what everyone is concerned about.

Great win for the Crew. Washington is a good team even without Harper. Santana is hot right now. As long as there is a hot hitter and good pitching there is a very good chance for a win. Now on to Cincinnatti for more of the same.

Huge win. Looks like it will be a .5 deficit in the WC and the Rockies are really scuffling.Rockies still have to go on that brutal trip to play LAD and AZ 8 games in a row. Need to turn this .5 game deficit into a solid lead by mid September.

Wild Card may not be a bad way to go... the Crew's played very tight against the Dodgers. They could take them.

But don't we have the one game playoff vs the Diamondbacks first...? Tough team.

Followed by a date with the Dodgers if they win...

Nothing wrong with playing underdog. They've been doing it all year.

Wild card game = Greinke vs Nelson ideally?

Would love to see Braun hit a game winning grand slam in the ninth against the D-Backs in their house and watch all their fans get triggered.

Where is Nyjer Morgan these days? If the Brewers do play the D-Backs in a do or die game, he should be the ceremonial anchor of the gauntlet. Maybe they could let him and Gomez sit atop the dugout.

Geez, just typing that makes me ask myself if even thinking about the Brewers getting one extra game is the biggest jinx ever. I'm genuinely nervous just typing. Just another instance of who'd have thought on September 3rd...

Great series. Nearly pulled out all four. Here's hoping for a 4-2 week at least!
