Only thing we can’t do is be swept. Just winning one keeps us in striking distance! Cubs have been so so of late and we have been hot! We pull the we sweep, man... September gets very exciting

This is the 50th season in franchise history (counting year one in Seattle) and the 2018 Brewers have already tied for the organization’s 12th winningest season all-time with 17 games remaining.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

The potential that the Brewers could end this series a game up on the Cubs, considering where we were a month ago, is finally starting to hit me.

they could lose every game for the rest of this month and I would STILL be so freaking STOKED on this team going forward. This team is SO MUCH FUN!!!!!

I'm guessing you are joking with this statement, right? I mean, if the Brewers lost every game the rest of September, they aren't making the playoffs. And, I'm guessing nobody in Brewer Nation is going to be too stoked about that. I like your enthusiasm though.

Tip your cap to these guys for fighting their way back into a full out fight in the division. Felt like a week ago everyone said they were pretty much toast in the division. As in they were unlikely to claw their way back by the end of the season and now not even half way through September they are flirting with taking the lead.

Even if they can't take the division at least they have shown they can play the Cubs and compete.

No doubt....this has been an amazing last 20 games or so. A few weeks ago I wasn't feeling overly confident that we'd even get one of the WC spots, and now here we are up 4.5 games in the WC and just a game back of the Cubs for the division. Life is good right now. Win tonight and Brewer fever might be at an all-time high! Just keep winning and let's see where that takes us.

Just continue to win Series like I been saying since the middle of August and we be fine the next upcoming home stand versus the Pirates and Cards scare me the most. But Just continue to win series and they be fine.

The Brewers just held the vaunted Cubs lineup to 14 or so hits and 6 runs over 3 games. You will win a lot of series like that. Man this team is fun

With Arizona's tough loss tonight, the Brewers basically just have to hold off one of either St. Louis OR the NL West runner-up. It's essentially now a 6 team race for 5 spots...

NL East - Atlanta (Division)

NL Central - Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Louis (Division and 1-2 Wild Cards)

NL West - Colorado, Los Angeles (Division and 0-1 Wild Card)

The Brewers have 5 more wins than the Dodgers. LA needs to win 5 more games than the Brewers do from here on out just to tie the Crew.

Brewers schedule isn't too tough from here on out... 6 vs the Pirates, granted they've been pretty tough on the Brewers this year, but really have nothing to play for at this point, 3 vs the Reds, 3 vs the Tigers, and then of course 3 vs the Cards.

That three gamer vs. the Cards could end up deciding the location of a wild card game if the brewers can't vault the Cubs for the division.

And looky here, the Dodgers and Cardinals begin a 4 game series tomorrow in St. Louis. They both can't gain on the Brewers on the same day all the way through this weekend. If the Brewers take care of business vs Pittsburgh, even just 2 of 3, they'll gain ground on one if not both teams. A 2-2 split between StL/LA means a half game gained on both by Milwaukee if they can manage 2 of 3. Conversely, a 3-1 or 4-0 series win by either StL or LA could really help bury the loser.

And starting Monday, the Rockies and Dodgers start a 3-gamer in LA. It's going to be really hard for the 3 teams chasing the Brewers to all make up ground whilst playing one another. Probably why the Brewers playoff odds are all the way up to 98.2%.

Why and how is this being missed?!!

The Brewers in 10 days 3 games at home, 3 games on the road just won a realistic 7 game series vs the #1 team(currently) in the NL. 4-2. World Series Bound! Noone wants to face this bullpen!

...Probably because this is the optimism thread, which means the Cubs aren't really the #1 team in the NL.

Milwaukee is.
