Lopez arsenal doesn't include a slider, so he's not overly tough on RH hitters despite his splits. I'd go something like

Cain

Grisham

Grandal

Moose

Braun

Thames

Spang

Perez

P

If Moose isn't available, Shaw would slide in after Thames probably and Spang/Perez would swap

Nitpick of course, but with Moose being out a bit and Thames doing pretty well might be better have to Moose lower so flip flop them in the line up while he gets back into the swing of things, pun intended.

Big game tonight. It'd be good for this team to come out punching in this one to get some momentum back from the news of losing Yelich. It would be good mentally for our hitters to wallop Lopez tonight and continue beating up on a team that we should be beating.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Liking what we have seen from Black of late. Seems like he should be moving up in the bullpen ranks over some others. Would be nice to have another stuff guy in the pen.

Agree. He's the one I'm most excited about at this point. Who knows if/when he'll have that blow up game but also considering he's controlled for a while here's hoping they can turn him into a weapon. Kind of like what they were hoping for in Wahl when they got him. So, if that does happen plus Wahl comes back and is what they were hoping you could have a great backend again next year adding them to Knebel and Hader. Obviously a ton ifs and variables in there though, but just saying that's some potential fire coming in at end of games. Possibly could allow Hader to move to a more flexible role too.

I would expect pinch hitting only at first?

We need him and moose to be at their best now

And for god sakes Cain. Give us a good two weeks at the plate

Since he was only doing light running two days ago...probably, maybe a day or two.

I would guess there is a very high preference to not actually use him at all though.

Okay in all seriousness:

Yelich/Shaw/AAA 2B < Grisham/Moustakas/Hiura.

If we could win with Yelich plus a few AAA hitters I think the other group can keep the offense going.

I'm guessing he might be ready for pinch hitting but not full game action.
Remember what Yoda said:

Agreed. Obviously a bummer to lose Yelich. But we are on the verge of gaining Moose, Hiura and Woody for the stretch run. Suter has also been a pleasant surprise too. It’s not completely bleak!

This would be a nice one to get to keep the momentum post-Yelich. Could be tied for WC2 at the end of the night!

Hiura not in the lineup, why did they pull him off the DL? Now is not the not time to rest, about to have 6 months for that

Because there is literally no disadvantage to activating him now that he is eligible to be activated. There are no roster limitations. Even if he isn't truly healthy, now if you absolutely need him to pinch hit in a key late game situation and he is physically able to do so, you have that option. He may not be truly ready for much more than that right now.

Grisham stands to benefit the most from Yelich being out. Playing everyday will hopefully help him get his game back to early season form and help his adjustment phase. At the very least a jumpstart into next year.
