Not the best time to go into a lineup wide slump.

 

It does kind of make me wonder how good this team's advanced pro scouting is, because this isn't the first relatively young, inexperienced pitcher with middling numbers who has carved this lineup up this year. They seem to do much better against more familiar guys, but any guys with limited exposure seem to really get to them a lot. Perhaps it's just perception and not reality.

Take away one bad pitch, and Adrian Houser was a stud tonight. Yes, I know you can't take away one pitch, but he pitched very well tonight and doesn't deserve the eventual loss that's coming if the bats can't get it together.
