As someone who was frustrated at Hader’s usage in the bottom of the 9th in Miami in the 1-1 tie game, I will say I think it’s much more understandable to use him in the 9th at home (when you still have an at bat in the bottom of the 9th), especially with the Cardinals middle of the order up.

He is 3 for his last 25 with 1 walk and has a career 76 OPS+. If he should be our 2 hitter and has been one of our best hitters lately, that is absolutely terrifying.
