It’s honestly time to look at Counsell. He be hired tomorrow if fired but he’s the leader of a team that literally cannot hit and full of players who did so before him. If he wasn’t from Whitefish Bay we’d all be calling for his head.

Hard to tell if Lane is even a good 3rd base coach. Rarely does he get anyone by him.

He's the maytag repairman of 3rd base coaches.

If I were Counsell I'd watch my back. When things go south like this the manager is usually the first to go. These hitters shouldn't look this pathetic. We can't blame not having Yelich or Huira any longer.

And we might see a no no.

Nashville also hitless their first time through the order.

And Biloxi. Got to go down to A ball to find a hit :laughing

Surely the hitting coach is the first to fall on their sword?

Stearns put together this lineup which was pretty much guaranteed to be bad.

I think the only way Craig would be in any real trouble is if Stearns thinks the offenses he's assembled the past couple of years have been good and Craig is the reason they've underperformed. Personally, I'd be looking in the mirror if I was Stearns.

Wow, you’re right. The Brewers hitters are through 5 innings, and both the Sounds and Shuckers are through 4 innings without a hit. So 13 combined innings (and counting) without a hit for the top three levels of the organization tonight.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Anderson and Schroeder again with the company man speak on this game. Brewers are so injured...they were 17-10 at the same time.

They have been bottom 3 in BA pretty much the whole season as they were last year.

Did Yelich at least hit the ball this time?

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

David Stearns should step onto the hot seat before Craig Counsell ever does.

For the record though, I don’t think either is close to the hot seat.

We have tickets to see our first game of the season tomorrow.

We may be witnesses to the first time a team has gone hitless two games in a row.

At this point I hope the Brewers get no-hit as many times as it takes for some sort of action to take place that changes either the approach, management personnel, or player personnel. This team is in trouble and the status quo can’t remain.

Update - no, I am not.

I can’t be the only one hoping for a no hitter at this point

I sure am.

It might be the only way to get the needed changes to happen.

The needed changes... I’d sure love to hear what those are?
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.
