Bucks 2021-2022 season thread

Nets added Milsap for minimum. Great signing for the price. Nets are looking good - if a bit old.

They are now trading Deandre Jordan to Detroit, who will then work on a buyout so he can play for the Lakers, because that's what players who get traded do apparently.

I look forward to the Bucks repeating.

Jeff Green and Paul Millsap basically switched places this off-season. I’m not sure there’s any net gain there (no pun intended).

Agree with Homer - It will be very satisfying if the Bucks repeat, especially if they conquer both super teams en route to the title.

Lakers (LeBron, AD, Westbrook, Gasol, Carmelo) and Nets (Durant, Harden, Kyrie, Blake, Millsap, Aldridge) currently have eleven 2015 All Stars on their rosters. Seven 2015 All Stars are already retired.

DeMarcus Cousins & Jeff Teague eagerly await their calls.

Bucks have hired their replacement for Paschke, as I suspected it is a woman, but I expected it to be Zora Stephenson. If I have heard her call a NCAA tournament game, I don't remember her. She has filled in for the Bulls as well and is the voice of the Chicago Sky. I look forward to her perspective.

its calling an NBA game not brain surgery, you don't have to take the most qualified. you have to take someone who will connect with the fans and call a good game.

Lisa certainly has an impressive resume, I would be curious to know what the nature of any complaints would be.

Most of the complaints I've seen is because she's a woman and because she doesn't have enough of a connection with MKE. I agree, she has an impressive resume.

I always find it weird when people get so upset over the announcers, I don't watch the games for the announcers, and I never will.

the latter concerns me more than the former. That being said, if you asked me to suggest a TV commentator with local roots, I would come up with nothing. Plus Ted Davis came here with no local roots and pretty much became a local and stayed here forever.

I remember playing fantasy baseball many years ago, and one of the guys drafted a ton of all-star players - from 5-8 years earlier. In his defense, he just didn't know that much, and was going with 'names'. Unfortunately, most of the names were past their primes (some of them really past their prime). I think he came in last that year.

Novak is local and he's beyond horrible.

Wouldn't that be the most qualified person? You can be the least experienced person and still be the most qualified. Not going to lie I am going to miss Paschke.

Wisconsin fans are spoiled when it comes to TV and radio announcers.

I agree that you don't watch a game for the person calling the game...but there are a select few that elevate the game and dozens that drag the game into misery. Anytime the Brewers had the youtube/FB group over the past few years, it was excruciating.

It would be nice if you qualified why you felt this way... otherwise a one liner like this sounds a lot like trolling.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Not sure why I have to explain this and not even sure why it is trolling.

Compare WI sports radio and TV announcers with any other state or city. WI is basically at the top when it comes to announcers and them not being extremely horrible to listen to.

The amount of good to great commentators in WI sports is just at another level compared to other states and cities. Hence why WI sports fans are spoiled with good commentators.

I mean...idk...you are randomally finding guys to interview and you don't think anything of a 6'4" guy. lol

In other news Andrew Wiggins flat out cannot play a home game in San Francisco, regardless of exemption to a vaccination. Really strange COVID situation brewing there. I am guessing they are on the hook to paying him regardless if he just kept opting to not get vaccinated. Hopefully he gets vaccinated or just quits for the year instead of making a mess of this. Definitely the first time this road has been traveled in COVID times.

was curious on who would handle tonights preseason game and saw this on twitter.

While the Bucks and WTMJ will soon announce the permanent radio play by play announcer, we are pleased that

@ESPNMilwaukee's Gabe Neitzel and The Athletic’s Eric Nehm will handle preseason broadcasts on

@620wtmj and the Bucks Radio Network.
