2021-09-01: Brewers (Anderson) at Giants (Gausman) [Brewers win, 5-2 -- Lo Cain’s 3 RBI night leads offense]

[oldguy]

Got outta that but traffic and pitches early. Bullpen get ready.

[wibadgers23]

Posey is having a tough series so far.

[SomewhereInTime]

The best thing I can say about the comments threads from brewers.com was that one time I was looking for a resource for options remaining and somebody pointed me to brewerfan.net for which I am forever grateful.

No the brewers.com message board. This was before the article comments were a thing over there.

What a rocket!

[Eye Black]

Is Wong on paternity leave or just getting a day off?

I saw he was expected to go on paternity leave in the near future, but didn’t see an announcement it had occurred yet. That certainly could have something to do with his absence this evening.

[PinaMadness]

No hitter avoided.

What a rocket!

109.9-mph from Garcia followed by 103.0-mph by Narvaez.

Nice AB Luis.

[wibadgers23]

Cain!!

[jason21nl]

Heck yeah! Let’s go!

[Eye Black]

Cain now 6-for-10 all time against Kevin Gausman, and I’m not sure if any were bigger than that hit!

[oldguy]

LOCAIN

[Cool Hand Lucroy]

Have a series, Lorenzo.

[willie key]

Let’s go Cain. Heat up just in time for playoffs

[SomewhereInTime]

Definitely a good risk to take with one out, wish it would've worked.

Agreed. Not a bad play at this point in the game.

[phnxcrew]

gausman isn’t fooling our guys tonight. Looks like he just relies on teams chasing the splitter and doesn’t have a lot else.

[ReverendBrewmeister]

Got two runs across, but felt there was a bit of a lost chance for an even bigger inning. But can’t complain too much.

[roadcrew3]

Sophia working hard to spin those stats for Anderson positively

[Eye Black]

Is Anderson the most cursed player when it comes to freak injuries and short starts? That was scary.

[ReverendBrewmeister]

Anderson is very lucky not to take a head shot on that liner.

Felt like it could have been bigger but I’ll take 2 runs and running the pitch count up near 40

[BruisedCrew]

Just take him out.

At best he has a bruise on his pitching shoulder and trying to throw through that doesn’t seem like a good idea, especially as it inevitably stiffens.

Anderson has the worst luck with these injuries.

I am really enjoying Chris Singleton in the booth. He brings some insight to the game that the Rock doesn’t always do. Hope he stays on for a part time gig again next year.
