Dang, nice play Riley. I wonder if they put Tellez on here...

Why? Urias is good.

Tellez took Morton deep a few days ago. Base open. Clearly it worked out unfortunately.

Overall not the worst inning. We got some traffic, Morton threw out of the stretch for a lot of high stress pitches.

Approaches from Yelich and Tellez that inning were awful.

Garcia's approach was at least better but he just isn't squaring up pitches he spent most of the year hitting...unfortunate time to be in a funk

If Yelich does what Garcia did maybe they get a run so why not just bunt Yelich at this point?? I don't get it.

Hogwash. We don’t bunt. Analytics is against it. But maybe that’s for teams that actually can hit the ball…

And Rowdy isn’t good. I get people get attached to these hot month guys like Tellez/Vogelbach/Sogard, but reality is they suck. I am sure Tellez is another chapter in the book.

He was garbage the last two months of the season.

It's embarrassing for Counsell to keep putting Yelich into this spot to fail. Coaching is about putting players in the best position to win. He is not doing that in this series.

Best we can manage with a guy struggling to locate is a weak grounder that wasn't quite weak enough.

0 for 19 with RISP. Record is 0 for 22. At this rate, might match that by next inning.

Be sharp, Lauer. Morton had to work. That's the glimmer of hope.

I'm past the point of finding any silver lining in any inning. It was predictable and it happened. It was yet another scoreless inning. That's the only way I see it. They've given no reason to make us think they can punch a run across no matter how much traffic we get and no matter who throws against us.

Well, why not? He's gotten a bunt hit this year.

That was disappointing.

You have 2 men on, 0 out. do you play for a run, or hope for a 3-run blast? If you play for a run, there's less pressure on the batter to swing himself out of his jockstrap.

Why he is still batting 3rd? Why is he even playing over Taylor? Why aren't any of our reporters asking these questions?

They tried asking tough questions about the late season slide and Counsell yelled at them.

Because Counsell thinks everybody else doesn't know anything.
