This might be Johnny Davis's's's's last year in college.

Yes, every game seems to be making that more likely. If so too bad because next year could be a big one if Crowl and Carlson can get stronger. Enjoying this years team after last years was the most unwatchable I can remember.

I don't know. Is Davis a lottery pick? There is so much size and athleticism at his position...

NIL makes it a tougher decision for late-first or second round guys. Davis can make real money if he likes the college experience.

That's a good point, money shouldn't be an issue on the decision, just where he is projected.

I saw something from what appeared to be a legit nba scouting source after the Maui win that had him going #25 in the next draft. Said something like he just needs to prove he can shoot consistently. But guys like him can move on and off the first round nba radar so who knows.

Davis is likely gone. I was just glad he didn’t jump ship this year to a Kentucky or Kansas. If I was him, that would have been a thought instead of playing with a bunch of backups here.

I mean, he probably values playing time. He would have been like the #7 guy on Kansas' roster going into the year with a few Top 50 recruits also coming onto the team. Not to mention he would have to learn an entirely different system.

Or he could be play every minute possible at Wisconsin.

You do know his brother is on the team also right? He gets plenty of exposure playing for the Badgers.

The backups that won the Maui Invitational and beat Georgia Tech - last year's winner of the ACC tournament - at Georgia Tech? Those backups?

Yep. They were mainly backups and unproven players last year. They also were ranked #10 in preseason Big Ten polls. Glad you knew this was where they’d be on Dec. 7.

With a team this green and guys out sick your going to have halves like that.

Going to be some ups and down with this group but still like what they have shown so far this year

If nothing else, this team is scrappy as hell

How was that Indiana ball? Good thing they didn't score.

Great comeback! This is a fun team. The interview at the end with Davis and Gard was cool too. Seems like Gard's relationship with the players is much better...but winning cures a lot of problems

Classic win. It's popular to crap on the UW teams from the last couple of years, but this win reminds of...well...the team from TWO YEARS AGO that WON THE B!G. IU came out shooting hot in the first half, but that didn't last and UW just kept coming.

To be fair, they were on a team with five seniors last year who were pretty decent players themselves. Now that those seniors have left, they're not backups anymore....

Why this is debatable I do not know. All I wrote was that if I were him I would have THOUGHT about leaving Wisconsin. I think about everybody in his place would have at least thought about leaving a team that lost most of its minute playing heart the previous season for a better team. Also, Davis wouldn’t have had to sit out a season like previous seasons, all the more reason to think about it. Throw in Gard not being a player’s delight seemingly last year (albeit seemingly Tucker’s doing) and it would be almost crazy not to at least think about possibly playing elsewhere in a year where there is no penalty to leave.

So glad he is back. So fun to watch.

Tough day at the office today.

The Buckeyes put a pretty good beatdown on the Badgers.

Such is life on the road in the B10 with a team this short on experience and high end talent.

They will get better but teams with good bigs are going to be a season long problem.

Especially bigs that stretch a little. Crowl did not belong today.

But, yeah. They went 5-1 with 2 Q1 wins and 3 Q2 ones (and some might get better) in 6 games against good competition, which is way better than expected.

I didn't see yesterday's game, but it looks like Chris Vogt played well considering his hometown was devastated the night before by tornadoes. I'm not sure how he did it.
