We are not even close to firing on all cylinders and yet we are 13-7, on a 100 win pace, and 1 game off the best record in baseball.....It's only April, but hot diggity dog.

It appears they are going to overcome Derek Johnson’s 2018 departure after all.

I am optimistic they will overcome Andy Haines departure too!!

I'm optimistic that the Cubs, Pirates, and Reds are absolutely terrible...

Coming into tonight's game, Rowdy Tellez ranked fifth in the majors in xwOBA (.452!!)

If he can break out this year and give us a reliable middle-of-the-order bat, watch out

I sure hope that the people that were on the ledge during the first series of the year are feeling a bit more optimistic now and  have come to understand how long a MLB season is  (some of the in game thread posts for those games were really over the top).

The Brewers finish the season with 20 of their final 26 games at home. It’s going to be a Craigtember for the ages.

Holy Moley.

I hadn’t looked at a schedule calendar since it was redone to reflect the delayed start, but what an opportunity for a strong finish.

Throw in there that the 12 games before that are 3 game series against the Cubs and Pirates at home and then the DBacks and Rockies on the road and that’s a pretty inviting last quarter of the season. The six game home stand against the Yankees and Mets, the 4 games against the Cardinals, and the doubleheader against the Giants are the only 12 of the 39 games that figure to be against playoff contenders unless someone (the Marlins?) pulls a major surprise.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

When the Brewers play well, those posters tend to go MIA. And because this is the Optimism Thread, that means we definitely won't be seeing much of them on the board this season ;)

Having Aaron Ashby as a Swiss army knife all season is going to be huge. This pitching staff is stacked!

Heck, let's get Ethan Small in that bullpen, too, while we're at it!

Brewers currently have the highest probability of winning their division in the major leagues, per 538 (76%), with an 89% likelihood of making the postseason. You figure that one of these days we are bound to get hot in October and go on that magic carpet ride to the World Series. With a seemingly resurgent offense and an already top-flight pitching staff, why not this year?!

Brewers have scored 76 runs in their last 13 games; or put another way averaging 5.8 runs per game for the last two weeks.

Rowdy Tellez currently tops the major leagues with an .815 XSLG, comfortably ahead second and third place holders Aaron Judge and Mike Trout...

I'm all in; this year is as good a year as any.

Let's do this.

We still have a lot of games left against the Pirates, Reds, and Cubs. Including 7 in Craigtember that should help the record down the stretch.

It’s amazing how far an organization that once had to push in all their chips to acquire pitchers like Sabathia, Greinke, and Marcum via trade has come in turning around their pitching development.

Also, the Brewers are so deep in pitching depth they traded replaceable arms last season to acquire arguably their two best current hitters in Adames and Tellez.

Not just “at Night” anymore.
