What a rag arm in left field.

Yelich was just approaching third when that bullet reached the fielder and there wasn’t even a play at the plate.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Now that low pitch is a strike. Of course. If Woodruff doesn't get that strike then someone for the Brewers' coaching staff needs to get ejected.

Now that the Brewers have 4 runs on the board and Woodruff is at 70 pitches through 4 innings (thanks ump for adding several unnecessary high stress pitches), I’m starting to wonder who is going to try to cover the last 3 or 4 innings today.

The key is to keep scoring runs so it doesn't matter.

That seems like a relatively sparse crowd for opening day

from that picture

You can’t judge the attendance from pictures of the seats.
At any given time there are literally thousands of people out getting concessions, including people who never go to their seats and spend the whole game in the various bar areas around the park.

Woodruff for 6, Ashby or suter for 3? Maybe have a short reliever finish the 6th if woodruff gets in trouble with pitch count.

It would have to be Suter because Ashby is scheduled to start Sunday.

I think Woody will only be going 5 today (89 pitches) Keith.

This is the happy version of Woody. Great mix of stuff. Love to see him getting that Mix of speeds, movement, and location going like this.

How lucky are we to listen to Brian Anderson on the regular? He is so incredibly good at his craft. Not a game goes by I don't give thanks.

He is the best.

If you watch games on MLB TV or Extra Innings and hear some of the other announcers, Anderson really stands out. There are several other good ones, but there also some that are shameless screaming homers.

We don't get him on the regular, I'm to the point that I just want him to be gone, and we have another regular guy.

He's great, but the Brewers are not his jam anymore, he's just a sub.

BA is also really talented as a basketball commentator. Not often you get that ability at a national level (admitting that Lepay is great at CFB and MCBB locally). I love Levering in the radio booth--his college basketball work is not at that level.

The Crew is very lucky overall from a broadcasting perspective.

This is true but, man, I am just so grateful when we get him. We never know what we have or had until it's gone. I'm going to hang on every last minute.

I don't get this. Wouldn't we rather have 50 games of 5-WAR pace than replacement level broadcasting all season?

I would be remiss if I didn't add: We have two incredible announcers at Triple-A and Double-A in Jeff Hem and Garrett Greene, respectively. They are excellent. Being the unabashed Homer that I am, I hope they get the promotion, ultimately.
