I like this Trevor Gott guy.

Me too. We can work with this, right? Love the wind up. It's quirky. Love the velocity. Love the approach. If he can harness the breaking ball, that would be huge.

I can’t tell you how it does my heart good to have burnes and woodruff pitch shutout innings in back to back games

Now finish this game off brewers.    Beating the cardinals is always a massive win

AMEN! Preach it, brother. ?

Well at least he didn't walk the bases loaded before giving up the home run.  I think he's a tad off on his location so far this year.  That fastball was right down the middle.

With a Rockies win tonight and assuming the top of the ninth goes smoothly, the Brewers would be in a tie for first place (in the win column). Amazing how quickly things can change in April. Almost like people shouldn't have been wetting their pants on Monday. Hopefully we can get two more this weekend, and we'll be in good shape to grab some momentum heading into a series against the Pirates.

Home opener WIN in the books

Woody looked great today - in spite of not getting calls that Wainwright got

Peralta throws tomorrow - hopefully another win over the hated Cards

Great win! Our record against waino has been abysmal and even though he’s 150 years old, winning against him and them is excellent!

Love to see it. Anybody think there is a chance we could see him later this year if he keeps up this trajectory? Maybe a bench bat in a pennant race?

Hmmmmm...I would never say 'No'. Honestly, I don't think it is likely. But, man, that would be awesome.

Please, for the love of God, never, and I mean NEVER, call the Pirates lowly, or any other word that will jinx us.

As of right now, if the Pirates take the series against us, it's all on you!!!

Touché. I will take all the heat if Daniel Vogelbach and Ben Gamel go berserk against us.

You're probably right. I am really starting to become a believer, though. AA was always going to be the stop to watch with him, and so far so good.

Oh, I believe in Joey. It's just a super accelerated promotion. IF he continues this type of carnage, we need to see Triple-A first. He has work to do, though, on pitchers who give him more than one option in off-speed and breaking action. This is his next batch of work.

He’s looked really confident and aggressive so far in a few games at AA. I will say he has a chance. Love his approach and hustle. I leaned over and told my son at the Shuckers game Tuesday that we will see him in a Brewers uniform this year. I hope I’m right

It wouldn't be an internet sports board if people (myself included) didn't overreact to a bad loss or a good win.  Especially early in the season.

Seeing Yeli hit a laser beam double on 0-2 makes me all tingly

Being at the game and having a good side angle on that hit, I was amazed at hit hard it appeared to be hit. It could be great news it Yelich is able to start hitting the ball hard.
