I still think at some point Houser becomes a relief pitcher who has value over a starter who struggles through 5. He has done a good job as a number five man but if Ashby stays in the rotation he may be the odd man out. I think that sinker would look good in the pen.

This game is on a 3.5 hour + (if there's a bottom of the 9th) rate with 0 runs and 4 hits.  What fantastic entertainment. Will professional paint drying surpass baseball in popularity this decade?

The Brewers have injuries (as do a lot of teams) but let’s not turn the guys who are not playing into super heroes.

I'm more confident in Renfroe's fielding abilities than McCutchen's. Renfroe has been good with the glove this year, whereas McCutchen is a terrible defender at this stage in his career. With how McCutchen was able to get close to that, it isn't a stretch to say Renfroe would have made the catch. Where am I turning anybody into a super hero? Renfroe and Adames have been our two best position players this year. Their absence is hurting us.
