Might be the worst send there’s ever been.  that’s how I send runners against my son to try and get out

I agree with the send. Playing the odds with the closer and the lineup.

Suter didn't. Rowdy's error caused that situation.

You’re right.   I missed the throw

everybody on this team sucks in one way or the other.   Except for burnes and hader

Mistakes from both players and coaches piling up this season. The Mudcats have been my therapy lately, but unfortunately they were rained out tonight.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

You probably shouldn’t put guys on first and third with nobody out in a tie ball game.

they might be out of their misery by the end of next week.    This is just bad bad bad bad bad

They’re already out of their misery. 7 guys hitting less than .250, and a handful of pitchers with ERAs north of 4.25; without significant improvement this is an 85 loss club.

That wasn't a bad send.  Generally speaking 3B coaches are way to conservative on when they send someone or not.  At least this was the conclusion last time there was a study on this.  It was a close play so anytime it is close it is a good send if it is an out or not.

We need a series win in Cincy this weekend. Has to be the minimum expectation.

What we really need is to realize that between the injuries and the defense this is not our year and that Hader should be available at the deadline.

The relay was terrible and happened after the send.  Should’ve been out by 20 feet.

Yep. It took a good throw and tag to get Renfroe. Any of those two go wrong he scores. And Yelich struck out the next at-bat anyways. It was a good send, just didn't work out in our favor.

Okay. Good thing you weren't the GM of the Braves last year when they lost Acuna for the season. Or the Nationals in 2019.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but the last two World Series Champions [in 162-game seasons] were both 5 games below .500 and >8 games back in their division on June 16th.

Yeah.  There were major signs of this even when they had a sparkling record

it just seemed to be a house of cards.   They basically needed their starters and bullpen to be absolutely perfect and once that very very thin line snapped it’s just a disaster

Not Sedar-esqe, but not a good send IMO.

Actually I'm more pissed at the walks by Ashby in the 4th & 5th innings. Both to LHs, both with a lead, both with no one on base, one to the 9-hole hitter. It's almost as if he was following some kind of Mets-come-back-at-home script. just infuriating.

Urias' final AB was horrible as well.

With how depleted our pitching is at the moment, I'm actually kind of impressed with how they hung right in there with the best team in the NL. If our usual Boxberger, Williams, Hader combo is available, or Rowdy doesn't make two stupid defensive plays in a row, we could very easily have walked out with a series win. But it didn't happen and now they have to focus on playing well in Cincy this weekend.

You were also the one who scoffed when I said let’s see where this team is after they face good teams throughout most of June yet here we are.
