Heading to the T-Rats game this morning so if someone could post the lineups that would be appreciated.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Maybe it’s the television adding a few pounds but why does it look like half the baseball players have a size 38 waist or higher

i mean these guys are in their mid 20s

Trading for Renfroe might be one of the best moves Stearns has made during his time here.

Yeah. The Yelich trade (pre-contract) takes the cake, obviously. But this might be second.

It was incredible just getting rid of JBJ's contract, the fact he somehow brought Renfroe back in the deal too is just crazy.

I would edit your post slightly - simply replace the words “might be” with “is”

I second (or 4th) that emotion!
Not only the trade for him as an obvious win but Renfroe over Garcia is a plus as well! Very good move!

I still couldn’t believe that trade when it happened.   What was Boston thinking

Only thing I can think of is luxury tax maybe?

The way JBJs contract is structured, BOS will have to pay him 17.5 million, but his luxury tax hit is only 12 million/1 year assuming the mutual option isn’t exercised.

Renfroe got 7.65 in Arby’s this year & will probably be due another what, 13-15 next year?

My other thought was maybe they wanted a CF, but JBJ has played mostly RF so don’t think that was much of a factor.

Guess Red Sox wanted to save a few million, then used rolling the dice on a couple prospects & bringing JBJ back as smoke screens for their cheapness.

This ump's K zone is dumb.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Ashby's changeup that runs away from righties is such a devastating pitch.

Crap. Getting hit in the hand can be bad.

edit: well he's staying in the game. Rub some dirt on it, Luis.
