The Cardinals 2 deadline pickups have thrown 23 innings and allowed 3 runs. And they’re 3-0 so far in the games they have started.

No need to throw strikes when you're getting them outside of the zone inside, outside, and high.

I don't think he's thrown more than a half-dozen pitches over the middle half of the plate.

Nope, all our average hitters will take us straight to the playoffs.  We didn't need a bat at the deadline, and we won't need one for the World Series either.  (all in blue)

It's probably not reality, but it just seems like whenever they play against a LH starter he is able to paint the edge (or just off of the edge) of the zone all night. 

Tonight they're just not getting pitches to hit.
