Why would you pinch hit your hottest bat for a guy who just came back today?? Make it make sense.

They subbed him for defense when they should have subbed Urias.

I guess he was pulled already?? That said Counsell got outmanaged again tonight. He is not helping a team that is not very good already scratch out a win here or there.

As I said above, Hiura was pulled for defense after the 9th. He wasn’t pinch hit for.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Another pathetic loss.

this team has lost so many games they should have won against inferior opponents

if they aren’t bringing anyone up NOW they may as well just give it up and end this clown show of a season

Hiura taken out in a tie game?

CC just looking for any way to get him out of a game.

I think the Brewers are a good team. They just need to keep on keepin' on.

They can still make the playoffs.

I simply don’t understand posts like this one after watching the 2022 Brewers

I am in serious need of a hug. This team just continues to find ways to crush my soul.

Wait for the softball questions from the Milwaukee sports press, and generic responses from CC.

I guess hoping the Brewers win isn’t good enough.

Maybe they make it, maybe they don't; but it's going to be a good race to the end.

That’s quite the loss. Outfoxed.

Pinch hit for the wrong guy, meaning we didn’t get the bunt down, didn’t force Cubs to choose whether to walk Taylor to load the bases with 1 out, caused ourselves to force Hiura out of the game when we still needed his bat, ended up having his replacement ground into a double play to end it.

I can see it if you have a lead but not if it's tied.

Brewers are now 33-41 since Memorial Day and I’m solidly into the indifference phase. Just difficult at this point to invest much more passion or emotion into this team.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

You've got a team in the race with a month to go.  This is the essence of entertaining baseball

I will say this as a fan we should hope that things go ahead and bottom out at this point. No sense messing around pretending. Just start the tear down. The longer they wait the less they get back for the few assets they have. Play the youngsters. All rookie outfield next year is a start. Feliciano behind the plate. Turang at second. Get what you can for Burnes and Woody, Meet you all back here in 2025.

Take a little bit of the bite off this current state of Brewers baseball. The Spirit Manimal is waking up. 3 HR in Durham in 4 games...including this mammoth shot late. Enjoy:

33-41 in our last 74 isn’t exactly entertaining baseball.

I couldn't disagree more. They have lost 15 of 23 and are only in the "race" because San Diego has been pretty bad lately as well. That isn't entertaining, it's pathetic.

The people quitting on a team 2 games out of the playoffs at the end of August should be put in a time machine and sent back to 1993 so they can "enjoy" 15 years of garbage baseball.

Losing games we used to win… close battles. Maddening. At least we ended it with Hiura on the bench. Craig got what he wanted.

Takes like this are why Mark A can say I stretched the budget for McCuthen with a straight face. Guess we should feel fortunate to watch this garbage.
