If they were to make it as a wild card, do they get home games in the first series or would they all be on the road like how they did it in 2020?

All on the road.

So, to get a home playoff game they not only have to pass the Padres and/or Phillies but then they would have to  win a best of 3 series on the road, probably against the Cardinals.

With Caratini’s .597 OPS against lefties this year, I kind of wish we’d have given Ruiz a try there. Of course, Ruiz is not exactly a power hitter, so he’d more likely leg out an infield single and need someone to drive him home, but it really doesn’t look like our current approach is working. Sigh.
