Confidence that he was completely back from injury and could trust his arm.

Even so, he was scuffling majorly for a while before his injury.

Of course, Cardinals have found a way to resurrect a 42 year-old (at least) Albert Pujols. Of freaking course. I think I hate them more than the Bears.

I hear ya.

How was Renfroe safe there? Was he admiring his hit? It shouldn't have been that close

He must've thought it went out.

Nice win

That was Houser from 2021

It is uncommon to pitch six shutout innings with zero strikeouts

Let’s get the series win tomorrow & get a streak going

Time to catch Philly or San Diego before it’s too late

Sophia: "Hunter, how awesome was it when Bally Sports showed replays of the play at second but never showed any footage of you standing at home plate instead of running?"

(I'm assuming this, because I agree it was shocking to see a close play there.)

Glad I watched this was a good one.  Switched mlbtv audio to wtmj so it was nice to have a win and a couple home run calls with Ueck today.

This is how I watch almost every game. Favorite thing about MLB.tv

Probably because he was hiding/trying to work through the injury.  My guess is that it had been bothering him to some extent for a while and didn't just happen in the game.  Through his first eight starts he had a 2.95 ERA and 3.11 FIP.

Last season among pitchers with at least 100 IP, Houser was 4th in highest GB%, 6th is highest soft hit %, and 2nd in lowest hard hit %.
