Let’s recap the last week.

Before last Sunday’s games, the Brewers trailed the Phillies by 1..5 games.

Since then, the Phillies lost to the Braves, lost 3 straight to the Cubs, and won 2 of 3 from the Nats. With that 2-5 effort, the Phils opened the door, put out the welcome mat, and invited the Brewers to come in and take the last wild card spot.

The Brewers declined the invitation by losing 4 of 6 and scoring a whopping 14 runs in the process.

These teams are highlighting how expanding  the playoffs cheapens the quality of playoff baseball.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Honestly, won’t be sad if we don’t make the postseason. Maybe Stearns can start taking some heat for the utter and pretty predictable failure of the bullpen he spent the deadline making sure to make as crappy as possible.

Was he trying to miss the postseason, honestly seemed like it. The results make it seem that way.

This is the nicest way to say how everyone feels the last week. Couldn’t say it any better.

No comments about today’s game yet.

While the Phillies roll over the Nats again (7-0 in the 5th) the no hitter alert is up on the Brewers. No hard hit balls yet.

There goes the no hitter. Still no hard hit balls.

And Wong immediately erases himself.

People don’t care and it is hard to blame them.

What I really find perplexing is that Counsell manages his bullpen the same way he did the past 2-3 years as if he still has all-stars Hader and Williams there. Despite trading, Hader 2 months ago he just doesn’t change his strategy. If you don’t have the same players performing at the same level, change it up Craig, don’t be so pigheaded you can’t depend on your bullpen like you did before.

What can be said that hasn't been said hundreds of times already all season long?

This is just sad.

Yah, at least let Stearn’s trash bullpen lose in different ways to keep it fresh.

Brewers about to get beat 3 out of 4 at home to marlins.        Hahahahhah.    I can’t wait to read how this team is good people are just overreacting.   They suck      Mentally weak also.   Just a terrible team

if they had to win a 7 game series against any team in mlb they would probably get beat.    Maybe the nationals they could beat.    Maybe

Swinging your head around to see if that ball that sounds and looks like it was crushed, really was crushed, takes it out of the bullpen.

I’m just ready for this season to be over with.  This Brewers team hasn’t been any fun to watch for the better part of the season.  Even when they were “good” they were beating crap teams.

The brewers probably would have made the playoffs if they didn’t do one move at the deadline.     Hader came back to form lately and that probably would have been enough.

Guys I don't think we're gonna be biting an apple this fall ☹️

Stearns cut down the apple tree back in July.
