Jace Peterson to Oakland A's

Solid fit for him in Oakland. Gonna miss him as a Brewer, though. He's been a very useful guy to have around the last couple seasons.

Toro and Turang kind of make Peterson unnecessary. He'll definitely get a lot of playing time in Oakland. Thanks for the memories and good luck to him!

Will be interesting to see what kind of money he gets. Was expecting somebody to give him a decent contracts but surprised by the A's. Glad he was able to cash in on a good season but don't expect him to do much there.

Jace has $4 million in career earnings (nearly half of that in 2022) so I'm happy for him to finally get what should be a decent payday for a utility guy. There are a lot of players who never make it to free agency. He was a valuable contributor here.

Good for him, quite a turn of events from a guy who was non-tendered in Dec. of 2020, in the minor leagues at the start of 2021, outrighted off the 40 man roster in May of 2021,  to getting a multi-year guarantee 18 months later.

Seeing the Seattle deal made me assume Toro was our Jace-placement for next season.  On-base-Jace should fit right in with Oakland.

I didn't really think of the short timeline of his rise from the baseball wastelands until you put it in writing here. It's hard not to be happy for guys like Jace.

I think the coolest thing about Jace Peterson is he went from being demonized by fans a couple years ago (which was somewhat understandable because of his lack luster hitting stats) and fought his way back with his play on the field and his stat line to a point where fans respected him a pretty great deal for a guy of his caliber.

Can't help but be happy for Jace that he cashed that in. Good for him and I hope he continues his run of being a valuable member of the A's (or wherever the A's end up trading him to down the line).
