Only one of Feltner's starts so far have come in Colorado, and that was against the Nationals where he gave up 3 ER's

Has been using his slider as his main pitch so far this season, with his changeup very well located and bringing a 40% whiff rate, other than that has struggled to generate significant swing and miss. If you get the ball in the air, you'll do damage

I remember Freddy's first start against the rockies. Repeat that and I'll be okay with that.

I think we're getting close to seeing Keston get one last opportunity with the Brewers...The Voit experiment has just about run its course. Gotta go with youth and upside.

The problem is that if Keston fails again, he can refuse the assignment after DFA. And there isn't much youth and upside. Sure he is 26 but already has 4 years of service time and doesn't have a good recent record in the majors. If he keeps up his current numbers, lowers his K% and learns to handle high pitches, maybe give him a chance. Right now? I am not so sure.

You gotta find out at some point. Better now than after the trade deadline. If he fails one final time, I doubt we end up caring about him refusing the assignment anyways.

Upside? We've all seen what happens when he actually makes contact. And Keston is 26. Voit is 31....

SSA, but his K% has been declining in AAA recently....

Would be a mistake to bring up Keston if we DFA'd Voit. Let's not set up Keston to fail being a backup 1B/DH where he's getting a large portion of his PA against LHP.

Honestly, I'd wait a week or two yet and pay close attention to Keston's K%. But the Brewers haven't exactly shown a particular concern for reverse splits to this point. At some point you gotta give Keston one final opportunity...

Obviously very small sample but Hiua is hitting lefties better than righties thus far and his k rate is lower against lefties. It is clear that the Brewers will be using Voit against LHP and if Hiura was brought up they would do the same. So the question is has Hiura actually done something to improve against lefties and the inside fastball or is it small sample nonsense.

Calling him back up when there won't be regular PA for him is just a poor decision. Let him continue to get every day PA in AAA. Let him continue to work on fixing his issues. If a regular playing spot opens up because of an injury/trade/DFA then definitely call him up but we have one more shot at this. There's no need to rush it.

Also this isn't me saying Voit shouldn't be DFA'd. He absolutely should but calling up Hiura to replace him is just asking for Keston to fail again.

The Brewers take on the truly terrible Colorado Rockies but they travel to Coors to do it, which is often an adventure.

Hopefully the Brewers can do better than they did against the truly terrible Tigers.

Tyrone Taylor in the lineup tonight.

A few weeks ago , I couldn’t imagine being as happy about it as I am now.

Was gonna suggest Kris Bryant as a great player to add for a versatile hitter. Then I saw his contract. *** were the Rockies thinking?

Dillard with a really nice analysis of that umpire error, though I will give the ump credit for not tossing winker. Most of the umps in the league would have tossed him almost immediately
