Everything is awful today.

my job was eliminated suddenly on Friday. I feel worse about last night’s game.

My thoughts on last night...  let's get on the road to winning the series tonight and forget about last night.

Remember what Yoda said:

Despite the Cards winning some games I'm not gonna get sucked in again. They are so damn stupid signing big dollar FA's but NO ACES.

They forgot about the 60's Dodgers and the 80.s Cards for example: Good pitching, speed and defense can match a slugging team.

Not watching games or sports center so I didn't know that YOU, guys, not the Pirates were in first place. But it's all moot. Can any central team compete with the Braves, PADS AND DODGERS?

Good grief....Last nite did happen....last nite did happen. I am living in hell right now. Ya see, back in 1984 I moved to St. Louis, MO., home of 'Cardinal Nation'. For years I've had to endure to constant ridicule of being a Brewer fan..."does Milw. still have a team"...."hey remember when Sutter struck out Gorman what's his name?"..."are the Brewers AAA or AA?"....and now today this ship show. Honestly....it got so bad I had to go outside for lunch just to find peace and quiet....in the rain! Because of the constant jabs, I never give 'deadbird nation' respect for winning in '82, in fact I always remind them we were the better team. Uecker, best ever... made a similar comment during his last road game broadcast from St. Louis........"isn't there any other film footage of '82 other the B.Sutter striking out Gorman Thomas?". But to the point , last nite did happen from a team in last place. C'mon man, ya gotta help me out here! The Crew can't EVER get beat like this again, especially from 'deadbird nation'!!!

I don’t feel any different about last night’s game because of the 10 meaningless runs in the 8th inning than I would have felt without them.

For all intents and purposes the Brewers lost that game in the first inning when they failed to score with the bases loaded and one out and one of their top pitchers surrendered a 3 run HR 4 batters in. After that it was just another of the all too frequent non competitive games from the dysfunctional Brewers offense.

The Brewers have to find a way to scrape out a win today or tomorrow or an 0-6 week is looking likely with the Rays coming up next.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

My preferred lineup for tonight against the lefty Montgomery, who we haven’t been able to hit at all since he was traded to the evil Redbirds.

Yelich LF

Miller 2B

Adames SS

Contreras DH

Ruf 1B

Brosseau 3B (cross your fingers)

Anderson RF

Caratini C

Taylor CF

As hot as the Rays have started the season, I don’t think you can ever label a sweep “likely” in MLB.

I can if I want.

And you can disagree if you want (and you have).

The Rays are 19-3 at home and the losses are to the Yankees and Astros. The Brewers will be going in there without Burnes as one of their starters. I don’t think I’m going out on a limb to say that the over-under on Brewers wins in that series would be .5 and under would get its share of the action.

So much for my hope yesterday that Yelich might be free of some of the back problems that have plagued him in the past.

Might make sense to sit him today and tomorrow and see how he is after the off day.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Yelich back was reason they took him out last night.

so either still bothering him or decided to give him an extra day against the lefty and get him back in tomorrow

I realize this team is built on pitching and defense but that is just not the lineup of a real contender. Better hope we can win the division with 83 wins or so because we aren't good enough to do much better than that.

The Brewers have scored 180 runs so far this year.

Real contenders the Phillies, Mets and Padres have scored 176, 174 and 165 runs so far this year,

I always love how you're nowhere to be found except after losing streaks/18-1 losses.

It's almost like we have some key guys out due to injuries...

Your utter disrespect of me and many others is why I stay away and I am far from the only one to feel this way.

AI generated:

Through the ballpark air tonight, the Brewers take on the Cards with might. Montgomery on the mound for St. Louis, while Miley brings his lefty finesse for the Brew Crew.

Pitch by pitch, they battle on, each hoping to secure the win before dawn. Miley's fastball paints the corners with ease, as Montgomery's curveball puts hitters at unease.

The crowd roars with each strike and out, as the two pitchers continue to tout their talents on this diamond stage, where every pitch can turn the page.

In the end, only one can prevail, as the other falls short of the tale. But tonight, let's enjoy the show, as Miley and Montgomery put on a pitching glow.

So sorry … hopefully today will be better for you & for the Brewers

In our history, we’ve played 8600 games as a franchise

Last night was unimaginably bad … a 17-run loss ties the “worst loss ever” as a team

So … with great confidence … I predict tonight will be better than last night

Hoping we win

Confident we will not lose by 17 runs

I think it’s a valid concern that the Brewers offense has been trending downward since their good start, especially that opening home stand against the Mets. In their first six games, the Brewers scored 38 runs despite being shut out on opening day. Since then they’ve scored barely 4 runs a game. They have been especially quiet on the road.

My guess is that the Phillies, Mets, and Padres, are all projected to score more than the Brewers, given that they have more reliable weapons in their lineups. For the Phillies and Padres, getting Harper and Tatis  back in their lineups is likely to pay off over the long haul.
