Brewers-Rays Friday Evening -- Houser of the Brewers vs. McClanahan of the Rays

Posted

It's not easy rooting for a team that will never win a World Series unless they draft out of their minds and take advantage of one year of the three year window they have before their stars take off to play for the Yankees and Dodgers.

Frustrating loss. McClanahan is great but we had our chances.

Well when you have a punchless lineup of singles hitters who strikeout a ton this will happen.  They're not bottom 10 in all of baseball in most offensive categories for nothing.

The Marlins did it twice.

Brewers had 3 barrels today that all went for outs. Their hitters had way more productive contact than the Rays today but the balls just didn't drop for us.

Talk about punch less . we have  106 xbh this season . Detroit has 109 in two less games ! After that its not even close! Out DH has zero combined HR's .  what a pathetic offense!

What a waste of decent pitching.  This punch less bunch can't buy a hit and inexplicably are horrendous against left handed pitchers.  One mistake in the 8th did them in.  smh

Another Lefty in game 2.  Think CC should mix it up tonight and drop the platoon switch and have Rowdy in the lineup.

Yelich LF

Miller 2B

Contreras DH

Tellez 1B

Anderson 3B

Wiemer CF

Turang SS

Caratini C

Taylor RF

My comment was based more on the season as a whole and how poorly ranked they are in most offensive categories, not one single game.

Have the Rays made a change? The MLB site lists Eflin as the Rays SP for today.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Houses sinker looked markedly better this time out, been getting too many air outs but that was prime Adrian and something the brewers will need. A game of really small margins that could have gone either way
