Not until early August - assuming no setbacks

Ok, I didn't know for sure.  That's too bad.

Will Woody be back?

Probably not until at least August. He still has to throw off the mound another time or two and then pitch a few rehab starts in the minors.

If you had told me we'd win this game 1-0, I would have asked you to pass the bong. AMAZING!

I didn’t see anyone questioning it when I predicted in about the fourth inning that it wouldn’t end 1-0.

Winker needs to go at the break

DFA this evening would be ideal

It wouldn't surprise me if they've been waiting for the break to minimize the disruption/team chemistry.  From what I've seen, Winker has been a great teammate - it seems like when they hit a HR he is either the guy putting on the cheesehead or the next guy on the field congratulating him.  Gives the team a few days to mentally absorb it and move on.

Who should our starting pitchers be for Reds series after the break?

I’m not sure about who should start, but if the Brewers follow past practice they won’t start Burnes on Friday after the All Star trip. I’ll be surprised if they skip Peralta.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if they hold Houser for the bullpen since they have an off day right away on Monday. I’d be a little skittish about letting the Reds see Miley again so soon.

My guess is Peralta on Friday, Miley or Teheran on Saturday, and then Burnes on Sunday.

I'll be honest. I'll be pleasantly surprised if he pitches for the Brewers again this year.

I’m in no way a tough guy, but are the players that fragile? Also, do they have eyes?

Why? He's been throwing BP sessions and appears to be on track. I don't think we have any reason to not expect him back in early August.

The latest report on Woodruff is that he threw 25 pitches in the bullpen today and will throw another session on Thursday if he has no I’ll effects.

1) By "waiting" I mean an extra 4-5 days.  An extra 4-5 days isn't going to matter.  There isn't anyone in the minors without a questionable major league history knocking on the door to replace him.

B) He's been a part of the team since spring training.  They've formed relationships.  They're human beings.

3) How the Brewers treat players plays a significant role in whether free agents will come there since the Brewers can't simply outbid everyone else and have a huge payroll.  Players have said that they were told by other players that Milwaukee is a great place to play.  Just like the Packers, they have to treat players well in order to be considered.
