DSL Brewers Uno are continuing their game against the Braves, restarting at 1-1 in the third inning (Braves are still hitless interestingly) and Di Turi picks up where he left off, with a single but is stranded at second base

Brewers Dos have the high flying LA Dodgers Baja team (32-7 record, wowza) with Yophery Rodriguez doubling in a run early doors, before a single from Brian Sanchez and Holguin result in... only one man left on base. Rodriguez was picked off at second base, sneaking too far, then Sanchez is caught stealing.

With men on 1st and second, Rodriguez is struck out looking, but Brian Sanches comes through with a double to plate one, before a Holguin single and passed ball make it 4-0 Brewers in the top of the third.

Flores has given up just two hits through 2.2 innings so far

Black not in the lineup 🤔

They’re facing a lefty tonight so could just be that but who knows. Black certainly is deserving of a promotion.

2023 first round draft pick 3B Brock Wilken makes his full season affiliate debut with the High-A Timber Rattlers, who are tied 1-1 in their series in South Bend. RHP Alexander Cornielle looks to continue his recent run of form (2.08 ERA with 19 Ks in last 17.1 IP).

The Low-A Mudcats lead their series in Fayetteville 2-1 and have 20-year old RHP Patricio Aquino ready to continue his terrific season (2.79 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, 9.1 K/9 in 61.1 IP). LF Jace Avina has a 9-game on-base streak and we’re relieved to see 3B Luke Adams right back in the lineup after exiting yesterday’s game early.

25-year old RHP Evan McKendry (4.00 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, 8.8 K/9 in 96.2 IP) makes his Brewers’ organizational debut in AAA Nashville against his former Durham teammates. RF Tyler Naquin has hit safely in his last 13 starts.

I don't think I have ever seen a pitching staff have as many 1st inning blowups in a season as this Wisconsin staff has had.

Cornielle went 0.1 IP, 4 H, 5 ER (was pulled with bases loaded), 4 BB, 1 SO...that's 2 times in the last week that the Timber Rattlers had a starter not get out of the first inning I believe.

Jace Avina continues to crush it. Mudcats lead 2-1 early, with Luis Lara walking and ultimately coming around on a sac fly.

Why are not as excited about the Sanchez kid as we are about the Rodriguez kid in the DSL?

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

Not to say you shouldn't be excited but Yophery is two years younger than him. Yophery's numbers at 17 y/o are pretty insane

He’s older, looks like a corner OF, didn’t get a huge bonus.

Definitely a guy to keep an eye on, but maybe more of a Luis Castillo/Yeison Perez kind of profile?

Maybe Misiorowski wasn’t quite ready for AA just yet……

He’s settled down nicely after an ugly start.

Bitonti with 2 hits including a HR. Pratt another hit, same with Boeve. Still early with lots of AB’s to go.

This is fast becoming a special farm system.
