Upcoming Brewers milestones & noteworthy things

I'm out of the loop, having not watched a Brewers game in ten days (thanks, MLB blackouts!). As I get back into the flow of things, I'd like to lean on the community a bit for upcoming things of note. These could be 1,000 hits, ten years of service, whatever you think is interesting. This will help me immensely as I create graphics for social media and site usage.

If you know of anything coming up soon, please share it here!

The Brewers are 11 games over .500. That has been their high-water mark for the season. That makes the franchise 223 games under .500 all-time. If they win tonight, it will put the team at 222 games under .500 for the first time since June 20, 2002. The last time they were at:

200 games under .500-September 29, 2001. 90 wins this year and next would get them back there.

150-July 30, 1999

100-Sep 18, 1993

50-Sep 6, 1971

0-The team was 3-3 after six games in their first season. That is the last time the franchise has had a record that wasn't below .500. They lost their first three games, so the Brewers have never had an overall winning record.

When Manny Pina struck out with the bases loaded on August 30, 2016 against the Cards, the Brewers dropped to 3561-3890, 329 games under. That was the most games under .500. Since then, they have gone 566-460. I am old enough to remember the first Brewer game against the Angels, and I want to live long enough to see this franchise get above .500. Disclaimer: I am not a data scientist. This is just eyeballing records and using Excel to keep a running W/L total.

My wife is not a baseball fan. I was watching the Braves the other day and I told her how jealous I was of all the hitters in their lineup and what a good team they have. She said, “so be a Braves fan, then.”

I had no words. I’m sure she was trying to be nice.

First, go and talk to ALL the divorce lawyers in the area. All the good ones.

Then...and I hope you're already in charge of a medium size crime family(but also not one of the main ones so you don't draw all their attention) and then I want to bury your assets in places like bird feed.

After that...you go to the best Divorce Lawyer and you file. You can get over some thing...infidelity, hiring a hit man to take you out. But...just casually suggesting you should change a life long allegiance?

Lets just all be thankful she didn't suggest becoming a Cards fan. That...that would just be too evil and cruel!

2 things;
1-If you haven't watched the Sopranos, you're not going to completely understand the premise.
2-I have too much confidence in people to feel the need to put that in any other type of font.

David Gruber is the only lawyer I’ll ever need. As he always says, “call once, that’s it!”

Since you have the spreadsheet handy, can you look at high water, low water marks since Attanasio bought the team?

The Brewers will pass 2 million in attendance on Sunday. Currently averaging 30,902 a game compared to 30,155 last year. The average may go down with summer coming to an end but with the team in first it very well may go up still, plus 12 of final 19 at home on the weekend.

This is interesting. The same loss to the Cardinals, mentioned above, that dropped the Brewers to 329 under, also represents the low point in Attanasio's ownership. I guess it makes sense. The Brewers dropped to 945-969. Their current record through today of 1443-1372 since Attanasio took over is the high water mark in his ownership.

I just have to do this...

It's "One call, that's all"

There, I feel better.  :)

I don't remember where I read the article, it could have been on this site. Devin Williams is on pace to set a record for a stat that measures highest leverage situations. I don't remember what the stat was called but it was a goof read.

Sorry for the lack of details.

Council should get to win 700 in September.

Has 689 right now.

If he doesn’t, well, there’s going to be some unhappy campers around here, to say the least.

How would that be different than any other day here? So many here incapable of being positive., even when the Brewers win 11 of 13.
