I've never seen anyone with splits as insane as Sal's. He's at an MVP-level 0.490 wOBA against fastballs. 

Compared with 0.190 against breaking pitches, 0.088 against changeups. And the sample size is now up to a couple months. I'm not sure why anyone would throw him a fastball at this point.

Hayes is on some kind of tear right now. He's hitting homers off of pitchers he's absolutely stunk against in Burnes and Peralta.

Garrett Mitchell gets a lot of love from the fan base for how he’s performed in his brief major league stint, but he’s the exact opposite of Frelick in terms of being a huge beneficiary of BABIP luck. Not to mention a 40% K rate vs a 16% K rate for Sal. 

Sal's .305 xwOBACON compared to Mitchell's .410 xwOBACON might have something to do with the wide gap in this BABIP's. Frelick has made a lot of contact but generally has not made good contact while Mitchell struggled with contact but when he does make contact he has great contact.
