We are doing with Chafin what we did with Bush letting them lose games just to prove how bad they are before dumping them.

Can’t think of another explanation.

Pitching Chafin and now not bunting Turang are 2 pathetic decisions that look like they’ll probably cost the Brewers the game

I think Monasterio not bunting with 2 runners on is more perplexing

Hoby could have blown the game just as well. You guys are brutal on Counsell.

There is no way the odds were the same is the point. It could have happened but waaay more likely with Chafin.

That’s like a triple loss. Lose a game, lose a game of the lead, and weaken the bullpen with 14 games in 14 days still to go.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

So can we DFA Chafin yet or not?  I know options are kind of limited but he should be break in case of emergency option only and we weren't at that point.

This is the hitting i expect in the playoffs against decent pitching.

If they get there the Brewers will have by far the worst hitting squad.

A few days I mentioned how when Counsell has a chance to sweep and go for the kill he often does crazy stuff like 2 out of 3 is cool. Today was a perfect example. If they were trying to salvage a game in the series you would have seen Hoby. Look it up.

That's it.  We now know for certain, Underachiever is Craig Counsell's son.

Milner didn’t seem to have it either.

Not sure what to do with that from a pitching standpoint. Fired all the bullets in the magazine. Had 10+ no-hit innings. Needed the offense to do something in regulation innings. Then when the runs did come, there was little left to hold the lead. Almost the entire season in microcosm. Bad loss of a different sort.

That said, I don’t know what goes through Burnes’ mind after some of these recent starts all ending up in team losses. Can’t be good.

To lose a game is never good, but it happens.  But to lose THIS game in THIS way after by wasting a MAGNIFICENT Corbin Burnes gem is utterly disgraceful. It's a rotten stinking pile of shame.   Every player who had an AB in this game should give CB a month's salary and offer to be an indentured servant to him and his family for seven years.

Oh.... and they might want to learn to hit.

DISGUSTING.
