I believe in Hall. Others may not. That's cool.

Even as a bullpen piece, though, Hall adds multi-inning depth. We need that.

We've also played like 80% of our games against teams over .500. This has been a hard April, and we've weathered it well. I have to think we'll cool off on the road and start playing better at home. This next schedule stretch isn't quite so bad. It's baseball, so you never know, but there's definitely a chance to go 15-10 over these next 25. 30-20 through 50 would be an excellent start.

This assumes the current performance can be sustained with a paper thin rotation, a burnt out pen and a middling offense.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

Last season, I reckoned we could win 80+% of games if we scored at least 5 runs.  Lately, 5 runs are not even cosmetic.
OK. I'm done b!tch!ng.  Bring on the Rays!

I don't know what the list is of teams that have given up 15+ runs in back to back games, but it can't be a very long list.

A major league embarrassment of a series

I hope the Bucks will fare better tonight.

No Giannis, probably no Lillard.

Don’t hold your breath or use up any emotional energy on the Bucks. Who knows whether they could have made a run in the playoffs at full strength but the team they’re throwing out there now isn’t going anywhere.

Lillard (Achilles) has been ruled out for Sunday's Game 4 against the Pacers.

Welp... I finally actually saw the Judge interference play.  It looked like OBVIOUS interference, because his arm was straight up to an unusual and even awkward degree.  So let the talking heads yap away, and I hope the ump gets ripped for idiocy or proNY bias and Judge get blasted for cheating.   That said... it's STILL no excuse for giving up so many more runs.

The End, for today.

I respectfully disagree. When you have a protective mitt on, and have Aaron Judge's hand-eye coordination, I'd be surprised if he couldn't block 50% of Wily Adam's throws from 10 feet away.

Fair enough.

Just saw another replay. It looked like he was quite a bit closer than 10 feet from the release of the throw FWIW. I mean, he's 6'8", but he's sliding. and I don't know if you can decipher exactly where the INF is releasing the throw from. But he gave it a good try.

I'd love to know how much extra reach you get w/the mitt.

Post Game the umpires admitted they got the call wrong after watching the replay on Judges slide into second.

Thought about that a couple innings later, that if Judge did this in a game vs the Red Sox we'd be hearing about it & having it analyzed on ESPN & MLBN for the next four days.

Even though it was pretty obvious, I thought there was enough---I don't know if the word would be randomness---to the play where the umps would never simply say "we blew it." So a little surprising to me.

In Brewers history, has there ever been a stretch in which the "pitching" staff has given up 30 runs combine

in two straight games?

No idea, but my best guess would be to check 1970s games in Fenway.

Bullpen Game every day except for Freddy's and Colin's days ... not replacing Burnes and Woodruff so far ... losing Miley to injury ... being the smallest-market team that just can't go out and sign a big-time veteran arm ... these are the facts that most of us know -- let's hope our young arms going back and forth from Nashville/Milwaukee are stellar!

Otherwise, we may go from the penthouse to the cellar!
