Why was Turang not stealing that whole at bat.  If Contreras singled the tying run wouldn’t have scored.  Especially considering Herreras lack of success in throwing out runners

He tried to steal on a 1-2 count, but Contreras fouled it off.

Frelick has no confidence at the plate.  Mitchell needs to get healthy in a hurry as Frelick does not look like a MLB OF.

I'm surprised they didn't go with Bauer just for a hint of power, but oh well. Should have won this one but we blew it. The short start by Bryse kind of screwed everything up.

Edit: Oh, and the offense was putrid.

That’s a very disappointing loss after being gifted a 3 run lead in the first inning. 

It might be hard to sweep a 4 game series, but once you’ve got the first 3 in the bank and a 3 run lead against a pitcher with an ERA over 6 the probability of getting the 4 game sweep is pretty high.

I know this can't be true, but it's almost like the Brewers let the birds win this one, even subconsciously.  Sweet series win, but let's go for the killshot whenever we can.

Still won the series, still made the cardinals feel small those first three games, which is a win in my books
