C'mon guys, Freddy just pitched 5 2/3 innings of one run baseball.  He added 11 Ks to that effort.  Yes, he struggled in the 6th, but the damage was minimal and they never scored.

Being way too hard on the guy.  I get it, we expect more from our "ace," but Freddy just isn't a true ace.  Just because he is supposed to be our best starting pitcher doesn't mean he is an ace.

Fact is, our offense is inept.  This disgusting showing has nothing to do with Peralta.  We are being no hit in the 7th inning after all...

And admittedly, Freddy could have cruised through 6 too if a certain LFer makes a pretty routine catch.

It's pretty disgusting hearing so much Cubs joy in our own freaking stadium...

And there is your "big" defensive play to seal the no-no.

That’s what Dan Plesac and the MLB Tonight crew is cheering for

I have to say, I just hate these Cubs-Brewers games. It's not any fun. Even when the result is good, it's still not much fun. Too much stress, too much meaningless meaning. It's been this way for a while, and Counsell makes it worse.

I guess the good news is, we own them in terms of the NL Central the last like 6 or 7 years. And Yelich and Game 163 pretty much entirely short-circuited the budding "dynasty" they all thought they'd have. That'll keep you warm for a long time.

On the positive front, Brown's probably going to have to throw 120 pitches to no-hit the Brewers. I haven't seen CC let a guy get that far very often, and he never really seemed to believe in pushing guys for that kind of milestone.

Of course, his bullpen has also never been a complete trash can. So, who knows?

I couldn’t stop laughing when I read this.

Same. Made me smile in an otherwise unhappy situation.

I may be the only one but I could care less if we get no hit

I’m much more disappointed in a loss to the Cubs than being no hit

I want the Brewers to win - nothing else matters

Losing 10-9 or 1-0 on a no-hitter is the same to me

I'm sure they will score a bunch of runs against the Sox so we can still say the offense is good.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

I enjoy history so I'd rather lose on a no-hitter than a 10-9 game myself. Still remember being there for Steve Busby's no-no which was nearly 50 years ago.
