Just poor execution from this team tonight. You're going to lose games against good teams, and a lot of times it's going to be games like this. Hope they learn from it.

1 run isn't going to win in these kinds of situations.

Offense just needs to have better at bats with runners on 3rd and less than 2 outs. Really poor last two games. Yeah the Phillies have good arms but it's just bad.

This is why I don't expect to go far in the playoffs and the Phillies will at least make it to the World Series. We don't do the little things to beat good teams. The Phillies do.

Frustrating…….just weren’t able to execute offensively the last 2 days when runs were there to be had with a fly ball or base hit…….

staring at a sweep now……

This is why imo Brewers still need to get another bat or two at deadline. If any of the pitching comes back they should be ok but I do not trust guys like Adames Frelick Ortiz Bauers etc in big spots down the stretch. Give me one more run producer and a bench bat so I never have to see Dunn pinch hit again.

I could see tomorrow turning into a six or eight to one drubbing

I assume we will pitch Ashby & Junk

Should be fun

Glad I’m working during the game

Or pinch run.

Payamps and Peguero have both regressed hard this year. Pretty disappointing.

Paredes should be ahead of both and for some reason we never saw him.

Have we been swept this year? I can't remember.

To answer my question, no we have not. But I don't feel good about that streak continuing!

Castellanos is the kind of veteran hitter who knows the situation there and says let me hit the ball hard somewhere. Brewers would have been 0-2 and then looked at a borderline strike three.

The frustrating part about all of this is it's not even the pitching that screwed us, it's the hitting—the thing we're supposed to be good at. We had so many chances in these two games.

At the end of the day, two damn frustrating, but damn good games. Need to find a way to scratch out more offense vs a pitching staff that is not only very talented, but close to on top of their game both nights (Strahm & Dominguez excluded, there were chances there). But it would also help to not have the baseball gods take a healthy dump in your salad. Bryson Stott could've gotten into a time machine, gone into the future to see where Turang was going to hit the ball, and not stood in a better spot. That follows a WP for a run that isn't because the ball hits Frelick in the foot. Then there's the 5 or so plays where they're out by an eyelash at first (you could see Murphy visibly upset by the last one, and I didn't blame him). Still, needed to find a way & couldn't. Hoskins with a huge failure late.

Major props to Hudson for turning in a scoreless outing in which he wasn't given the same zone everyone else had, for some odd reason.

Phillies are a really good ball club. We've lost two tough ones. On to the next. Despite the lack of opportunistic knocks, these are good showings. 🤷‍♂️

I think it was more 'give me something I can hit to the right side', and he got a perfect pitch to do just that. Not only get it over there, but drive it. Payamps got his bad location out of the way on the 1st pitch & never had a chance to throw another one.

Guys, Elvis has a sub 3 era and that's the 2nd run he's given up in his last 10 outings.    He's given up like 4 runs since mid April.
