I really don’t think Adames would fetch nearly that much, especially for 1/2 season.

Well I think David Stearns wants him. The Mets almost have to be in contention for Adames to be in play there, which doesn’t look likely at this point.

Way to go meeker!  What a win!

Every time I hear his name I keep thinking of this guy.

Not too many guys have Brisbane on their Minor League timeline.

Brewers have a bit of a partnership program with Brisbane. 2 straight years we have sent some guys over there for winter ball.

Certainly not the worst place to spend your winter.

Reds beat Cubs for their 6th straight win.

if the Cardinals hold on to their lead over the Rockies, the Cubs, Reds, and Cards will all be 6.5 back with the Pirates 7 out.

Some weird records in the NL.

Phillies, Dodgers, Brewers, and Braves the only teams over .500.

Seven teams all 2 or 3 games under .500.

Then Nats, Mets, Marlins, Rockies in the dumpster.

Fun fact of the day: # of consecutive pitches thrown w/o Detroit picking up a base hit. I think it was something like 107.

Love to see Turang & Perkins pick up base hits foul-line to foul-line. Would like to see Frelick start smoking the same brand.

He surprises me once again

I thought for sure Murphy would let Myers make a memory

With the subset of starting pitchers we had in March now looking like a MASH unit & Myers at 100 pitches w/ a ten run lead, I'm pretty sure 8 shutout is memorable enough for him. Although I'd agree Herget warming in the ninth was a little odd. Meh, but odd.

Yippee!

We have TBD!

He always shuts down the others' top 3!

With Olson, all the Tigers and their fans will have tears enough to fill a Bolson!

Our TBD won and your Cubs lost to the Reds tonight,  Cubs will be in 3rd place in 24 hours. You Murphy hater and Counsell lover LOL :)

In another somewhat quirk of today's game the Brewers scored 10 runs without the aid of a home run.

I'm guessing that doesn't happen too much in today's game.

Another fun fact: Cubs have won only 11 of there last 30 games. LOL Cubs wish they had David Ross back now. Maybe Counsell should go on dancing with the stars up against Ross. Ross would beat him there also.

Which of those losses are you chalking up to Counsell rather than the fact they just aren't that good?

All of them, they have triple the Brewers payroll. Below is Craig going to Cubs opening day.

I love Murph, and I'm glad CC is off our turf!

I don't know where you got your view, but it is surely askew!

Sorry then, I got crap from a whole bunch of people when I said good riddance to CC. I disliked about 3/4 of his choices especially his reliever choices, I apologize.

23 hits & no HRs in the game last week vs Chicago too. Yeah, in this day & age that can't happen very often.

If you are paying a manager over $8m a season, you think you have a pretty good team.  Doesn't mean you are right, but because of that contract the pressure to win falls on the manager's shoulders.  Watching that actual rudderless ship led by a gm that isn't nearly as good as what his reputation grants him is glorious.
