A five run lead with six outs to get and I still don't feel comfortable.

With good reason.

Not much confidence in Payamps these days and Megill’s luck with the 400 foot fly outs might run out some day.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

That’s a perk of being a Brewers fan 😎

As much as this series is not been particularly great if they would have won Friday we'd all been pretty jacked about the week.

A 3-4 West Coast Trip is ok with me.

I'll try to pay more attention to this thread during this game. Y'all regular posters are evidently not doing enough on your own to generate a victory!  <shakes head sadly>

Appreciate your help today 🤟

Good to get the salvage game.

These next two weeks have some challenges with the Rangers coming off 4 wins, the always challenging Cubs and their entourage of fans,  and then another western trip.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Payamps has become very hittable.  Wonder if there is an injury situation

His slider doesn't seem to be the same pitch it was last year.

Chourio and Black looking good with the back recently. Could be huge with with a cold Contreras.

It'd be great to go back in time and figure out the butterfly effect for that botched turang double play. Win the game? Win the series? Win the world series??

His slider went from a really good pitch last year that he threw 44% of the time to arguably his worst pitch this season. I'm starting to get pretty worried about him. He was fortunate to only give up the 1 run today. Padres were smacking him around they just didn't find gaps. Hopefully whatever the issue is can be fixed.

Honestly that 4 game series at Coors is what scares me the most. Feel like we've played some really bad baseball at Coors the last few years.

Only 20 pitches, I’d give him the 8th too.

With all the LHH coming up in the 8th I thought they might. It would be in keeping with the idea of sending Megill out there w/a four run lead in the 9th. They did one but not the other. Maybe a little weird.

I'm hoping part of the deal today was he was sent in to face a bunch of LHH that we couldn't get out all weekend to save our lives. But you're right about the slider. A telltale was that he really seemed to be relying on the FB in Thursdays' game. And when he threw a slider w/two strikes to Cronenworth, ballgame. I'm hoping it's a 'feel' thing that comes back.
