Looks like they went back and changed Jackson Chourio's 2nd AB on Tuesday from a reached on an error to an infield single. I suspected that would happen as he would have beat out the throw even if it was on target.

Surprised it took that long to change. That was pretty clearly a single albeit one that Triolo played pretty terribly.

I’m not miserable at all.

I guess some people can’t distinguish between being disappointed when something doesn’t go as well as hoped or expected and being miserable.

There are also some that like to get critical and judgmental when someone doesn’t look at things exactly the way that they do.

You sure seem miserable as a Brewers fan as I can rarely remember a positive thing you’ve posted and you generally go after posters using stats to show the sky is not falling when we’ve lost 3 games in a row.

How are you disappointed with this season?  You predicted the Brewers would win 78 games as there were just “too many holes and question marks to expect anything more.” Yet, here they are on pace to win almost 93 games.

We sweep this series and we are on pace to win 95.1958763 games!

I Don't think he's miserable at all, as he said above. He has a schtick, and he's actually very good at it. Not a schtick in the sense that he's putting everyone on; by now it's obvious he's simply being himself, which is great.

We're all different. Some of us are wired in such a way that positivity seems to ignite a contradictory response & observations always seem to trend toward the dark side, while negativity is taken in stride much more readily, and ignites nothing. It gets predictable & tedious & it's certainly not for me. But on a sports message board it certainly has its' place.

Just part of the crazyquilt.

You are absolutely correct that it will exist forever on sports message boards and Bruised and our other negative posters are more than welcome to post however they want.

The frustrating part is the constant negativity for a team that should have already exceeded their expectations as we’re on pace to win almost 93 games and lots of the season predictions for the team were in the 70’s.

This is what I don't understand....I can actually completely understand the idea that the Brewers are playing way above their head and aren't nearly as good as they have played....what I don't understand is the CONSTANT griping about when something bad happens it's like "typical Brewers, " "Who could see that coming with this team?" and predictions of DOOM as if this is a bad team that will continue to be bad....when in fact it has been a very GOOD team in first place...like, I sure hope everything continues to happen just as it has happened!

I guess you don’t see the difference between being disappointed with a homestand or two week period and being disappointed with the whole season. I have said more than once that for me this season so far has been an unexpected surprise, and I hope it continues this way.

Saying you rarely remember anything positive that I posted just shows that you have a very biased and selective memory.

I’m not sure what you mean by “going after posters”, unless maybe you are referring to calling into question the relevance of stats that someone uses to make a point. There is a big difference between going  after a poster (which is exactly what you are doing here) and challenging a position that a poster is taking or the stats they are using to support that position.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I agree with this 100%. Maybe it’s because I grew up on ‘90s Brewers teams and found ways to endure thru those seasons that I can’t understand the other mindset.

But you don’t just show disappointment over a two-week period or homestand… maybe you don’t see it but many others do.

I went and searched to find instances of you saying this season has been an unexpected surprise but also included other positive words that could be similar and couldn’t find any - so feel free to show some.

How do you not see the original post I quoted in this thread as going after posters such as sveumrules?

Freddy gets the call vs. the rookie....I will kinda miss that once robots take over.  Kinda.

Freddy is so maddeningly frustrating & inconsistent

He is terribly underperforming his level of talent

I prefer to pause the game while he’s pitching & fast forward after five minutes to avoid staying angry

What's the over/ under on Peralta tonight   4 2/3 innings tonight  with 2 earned runs , 103 pitches.

I'll take the over (meaning I think he'll have a better start than that).

2 ER might be tough....but with this strike zone he should do better than 103 pitches thru 4.2...
