Stone ain't David Cone!

Brewers will be all over his zone!

We will hit his pitches long gone!

Rea will continue his 2024 masterful display of a pitching array!

Tuesday will be another Hip-Hip-Hoo-Rea!

Brewers actually have a pretty solid pitching advantage tonight as Stone has been genuinely awful since July while Rea has been at his best in that timeframe. Have to take advantage.

Welp, looks like Turang's April/May got him penciled into the leadoff spot for infinity....Sigh.

Is it safe to say Turang has made a quantum drop?

He was good in June too. This has just been a slump since the start of July and it's been basically unplayable bad slump.

Murphy loves throwing guys into the clean up spot so they can feel the weight of the world on their shoulders. I predict 5 lob for Black tonight.

Pretty ambitious to think he’ll come up with 5 runners on base considering how few baserunners the Brewers have had the last 3 days.

Is it just me or have the Brewers been scoring a lot higher percentage of their runs the last couple of months on HRs than they did earlier in this season?

I first had this thought back during the grand slam barrage in late June, and it seemed to continue through the scoring struggles in July and even during last week’s brief explosion. In the last 3 games all but 1 of their 6 runs were driven in by a HR.

The Brewers are just 19th in MLB in number of HRs despite being 7th in RPG. They have fewer HRs than any of the 14 teams that are above league average in RPG. So, needing HR to score is not their best bet. But, with several players still slumping, it has been hard for them to string hits together.

Black batting in the cleanup spot?  Interesting decision.

Had the same thought.  Also thought it was strange that Mitchell hits third against the lefty but down in the order against the right.  Just makes zero sense.

For those looking for a Turang alternative in the leadoff spot, Black wouldn't be a bad choice. But Murphy seems intent (tonite anyway) on breaking up the three RHH, and if Contreras is hitting 3rd there really isn't a LHH that looks 'right' in the cleanup spot.

Rae keeping the bases as clean as he can is my big concern. The top 5 spots of that order are just so difficult. They were careful to Smith last night w/the two walks, and you can get away with that. But you walk Ohtani, can't keep him from running, and even w/two out it costs you a run.

Stone mixes it up, and throws the changeup a lot--about 1 out of every four pitches. Please, more of a 'see ball, hit ball' strategy tonite, particularly with two strikes, and less guessing.

Frelick is also really a better alternative than Turang in the leadoff spot at this point.

He must be pulling uniform numbers from a hat. That makes no sense.

It's crazy stuff. Then when asked he will give some answer that makes zero sense and that will be that.

D backs are going to be the sleeper team in the NL playoffs again.

They aren’t a sleeper.
